Your Outdoors New Years Resolutions

Sleep outside at least 45 nights this year.

Add another 10 x 10 ft section to my garden.

Get my kids outside with me as often as possible.
 
Packraft and camp more often, further afield, for longer periods of time and to get better at outback oven baking and campfire cooking.
 
Pick up some more gear. More importantly though, I want to get out more... a LOT more. I'm not getting any younger, and I want to get out more while I still can.
 
Get out more for sure is one Resolution I didn't even get the yaks in the water this year
The main resolution is to learn to sketch/paint landscapes I'm looking at

Continue getting in better shape and get out on the trails more. Towards this my wife and I gifted each other new hiking boots for xmas. We're considering a few multidayers...perhaps a short (22 miles) section of the pacific crest trail. Plus, I want to win the lottery...and it better be the big one!
 
Lose 40+ pounds.
Pay knife debts.
Camp at least 4 times.
Hunt deer and elk at least half seasons.
Find the right backpack and use it.
Hike, Hike and did I say Hike?
Work on primitive trap skills.
Work on firemaking skills.
Shoot bow......................... a lot.
Use our canoe.
Teach my youngest son and daughter to be quiet outdoors.

I want to end-to-end the Bruce Trail (Niagara to Tobermory) in as few outings as possible. I also want to take a shot at the Rideau Trail (Kingston to Ottawa). Beyond that, I intend to do fewer day hikes (gasp!) so that I can 'bank' my outdoors time and hit the trails for more multi-day hikes.

I do need to get into better shape. Now that winter is here the days are too short so I have to spend more time on the treadmill.

Buy my wife a canoe. A bit heavy but I'll probably get the Old Town Guide 147. She loves canoeing and we've pretty much stuck to boating on the inland lakes. I need to get her on the rivers again.
 
More fishing, and overnight+ trips. Get out more with my sons for shooting, and skills time..MOUNTAIN BIKE MY A$$ OFF. Ride every day. Hit up some trails I havent rode before, and hit up Moab for some really sweet mountain biking. A year of getting out, and as kev said it, putting up or shutting up. I also wanna make it out to as many gatherings with forumites as possible, and make a campfire my forum time.

non outdoors related- quit smoking, quit smoking, quit smoking. I turn 29 in a week, and really wanna be smoke free and in the best shape of my life at 30. Im not doing bad physically, but wanna take it up a notch with the smoking....
 
My plans for the Outdoors this New year is to get my Family out in the woods alot more (Camping,Hiking & Fishing). Also I plan on shooting my bow alot more (3-days a week) & try to get a new Bow ! The other thing I want to do is Master fire starting from different methods :)
 
Get out more, HUNT... HUNT....HUNT. Work deadlines have kept me in the shop. Oh yeah, for anyone interested in becoming smoke free(don't say your going to quit, negative thoughts lead to negative action) say I am happy to be smoke free. And theres a wonderful new drug called Chantix, ask your doctor IT WORKS.

Got a Dr. appointment on the 5th to get me some Chantix. :thumbup: I am so done smoking. Its over. No more. I have a few friends who have quit using it.
