It's almost over, so it's a good time to reflect on the year 2000.

What's your personal overall favorite for the year and why?

Mine is a 7.5" Stellite Kit Carson model after my own design (review coming soon).

For me, it was the MT LCC. It's great every day, the 154-CM steel takes a good edge which lasts and the price--about 130 bucks--makes it a great value. I think it has a generic enough look for office carry, but may be too large for all of the sheeple. Still, it hasn't left me wanting.--OKG

I'd have to say my Greg Lightfoot 7" Predator. First custom knife I had ever bought and it was everything I wanted. I now have Lightfoot's Neck Razor and of course the LCC, he must have gotten in my head becuse these knives are what I would have made for myself if only I knew how.

My sub hilt fighter from Max Burnett. It was the first custom I had ever recieved and my favorite knife in my collection.

The Buck Strider. The strongest, most OVERBUILT production folder ever. ( and it just plain feels great to hold ).

I just got a LCC and was sorely disappointed.....super hard to fire and the blade is a microhair from rubbing against the liner....I mean it is CROOKED!

I get some pleasure from finding a relentlessly peaceful use for a combative looking knife.

Finally taking delivery of Ikkyu was the knife thrill of the year for me!

The Spyderco Calypso Jr. lightweight that I hope to find under the tree. Great design and materials in an affordable package.

Excellent question. I think we should have a forum poll and officially name our Bladeforums knives of the year. We could have different categories such as:

bang for buck
production folder
production fixed blade
collaboration
custom folder
etc, etc.

My favorit has to be the Benchmade 720. It to me feels great in my hand and it is easy to carry. It also takes and holds an edge well.

Surprisingly for me, my William Henry Evolution (Global 7). I wasn't as excited about it when I first got it, but it has really grown on me!

It is definitely on my permanent carry list.

Great knife.

Non-controversial signature line follows: I like William Henry fine knives.

While they were not all introduced this year into the market place, I cant decide between my 3 musketeers. The REKAT Sifu, Spyderco Chinook, and Civilian. Each is superb in its class. They are all just awesome for production folders. I guess its a 3-way tie.

Has to be my Microtech Lcc but i wish it had Ken Onions Speed Safe on it
