Your recent opinion on Nick Shabazz ?

I find the typically british self-deprecating humour done in a NY accent absolutely hilarious. Pretty much the only knife youtube channel I watch with any regularity at all. Can't say he had any influence at all on my purchasing habits thought, since I have very different taste than he does.

He's a representative of knife guys who live in studio apartments in big cities, with no yards, who never go to the woods or hunt or fish, and have office jobs, and buy knives for flicking and taking pictures of them

Shoot, I have an office job 🙁

Guess I never got the memo that you can’t review knives unless you hunt, fish, or go in the woods.

Hum, I am half crippled up and no longer hunt. Hard to carry a gun, and a cane. Does that mean I have to give up my knives?

No, but if you want knife review videos, you can probably get by ones that just discuss how a knife looks and feels

I appreciate his efforts along with the other larger YT influencers. His voice really does get tiring though, but I try to look past that as he was born that way, so no fault of his own.

I will say, I am strictly into the high-end at this point and therefore watch him along with the other big guys just here and there. Pocketpriorities is my go-to for the stuff I'm mainly into.

Mr. Shabazz's taste in knives varies a bit from my own, but his reviews are honest and unbiased from what I've seen; he's definitely one of the better reviewers on YT.

He has proven himself as a gateway drug to a good number of viewers and up and commers as well - his worth should be measured on how many he has introduced to the hobby; and "that's a good thing (said with the Shabazz accent)."

I rarely look at reviews, but of the ones I've seen, his are informative and humorous.
I agree and always enjoy a 'glass half full' opinion. I have learned a lot from his disassembly/assembly videos and could care less what accent he has or how many squirrels he's skinned with his knives. I hadn't realized how much his reviews influenced me until I removed a Sage 1 from my shopping cart just because he didn't seem to like it. (I later put it back in, bought it and love it - knife design is almost always a personal preference :))

Hello, it me.

(Well ok, swap out studio apartments in big cities for a home in the burbs, and sadly, someone who DOES like go to into the woods, just don't do it enough!)

🤣 🤣 🤣

Wait... were supposed to use our knives other than as pocket jewellery?

Shoot.. im going cut my pinky off for being insubordinate.

I've watched a few of those too. I was curious how the Pro-Tech Runt 5 was put together, and found his video answered all my questions.
