Your regular EDC

Even though I have a modest pile of knives, I usually only pick from 6 or 8 folders. Occasionally, I'll carry one that rarely sees the light of day, just to mix things up a bit.

However, I always have my SAK Recruit on me all day every day. I have even left it in my jammie pants pocket overnight.

It all depends on what I feel like sticking in my pocket, but I usually carry either a Chris Reeve, a Manix2, or a traditional stockman for my main user knife. But no matter what's in my right pocket, there's always an Alox Cadet in my left pocket. So I guess the Cadet is my real EDC.

Spyderco Military S30V since 1999... I own hundreds, but the Millie seems to have a permanent place in my pocket... Oh, and a SAK on the key-ring... and recently, a Ruger LCP in the pocket...

I love hearing about the longevity of a knife I’m considering buying!

I used to have a Rambler on the keychain, but now I have a SwissCard in my wallet and a Spirit and a full tang knife in my backpack. The backpack is only used a couple of times a month tho.

I keep an Explorer and another Spirit always within reach at home and a third Spirit in the workshop.

And there are more SAKs in different kits. Of course.

Have you ever shelled out for a 110 from Buck’s custom shop?

No I haven’t. Copper and Clad and SK Blades have both built 110’s that made me very happy at a fraction of what the same knife would have cost from the custom shop. I’ve also accumulated a number of broken and worn 110’s with Macassar Ebony that I had rebladed by Buck.

I still carry the same one to work everyday that I have for the last 35 years.

I would “like” this post 100 times if I could. I’ve been toying with the notion of buying a suped-up 110 for a few years now..

My EDC for the last year has been the White River Sendero Classic. I got it to be a part of my hand, and it's been a solid working tool. I rotate folders based on how I feel on any given day, faves are the Kershaw Shallot composite ZDP189, Kershaw Launch 8, or Ruike P108.

These are my first two 110’s I wore out one from the 70’s one from the 80’s and a 111 for special occasions. this taken after they came back from Buck with new blades.

Go for it! Life’s too short to wait for something you really want.

Amber Stag from copper and clad was on clearance. I suspect because the stag looks odd. In the plus side it’s fat in the middle and feels really good in hand.

Copper and Clad still has some beautiful 110’s with drop point blades.

I really like the Macassar ebony knives. The stag and impregnated ones are nice but they feel heavy to me.

A knife I find myself using a bit recently is a 610 Sabre Japan pen knife. Reason I got it in the first place was because my grandpa had the exact same one, and not wanting to use the original, I bought a replica of it off of eBay, and it keeps a decent edge, but it’s also got sentimental value, plus it is actually a pretty convenient size to carry. Definitely one I’ll use regularly.

I always get thrown off by these threads that mention, "EDC's". I always think of self defense. When talking about an EDC knife, I think of my primary self defense knife.
My CPK DEK1 will be my primary self defense knife. But I also carry a Buck 301 in one front pocket, and a Steel Warrior Stockman (in case someone wants to borrow a knife from me ;)) in the other front pocket. Then I carry my Gerber 650 on my belt weakside, and my Kershaw Launch 1 in a small leg pocket.
So I always have about 4 or 5 knives on me and at least one handgun.

:eek: Geez @000Robert , and I thought my pockets were heavy carrying 3!
