Your Skyline blade

Really weird how it says the Skyline is stone-washed. Someone is in trouble... Thomas is gonna be cracking that whip!

Sigh... Chris is the marketing dude. Thomas' main focal point is sales. He doesn't do ads, packaging, the website, and the marketing stuff.
I don't do much for daily sales either, Steve and Cartlon handle that. ;)

As to "misleading" the public on the Skyline blade finish, I'll add it to my growing list of deceitful mistakes.

So to keep the deceitful cleaning ladies intel from hitting these forums before me, I had Chris submit the changes to the blade finish on the site. Should be corrected this week.

I have the Damascus version, and no issues so far, have been using Ballistol though on the blade for corrosion resistance, which is food safe BTW

The skyline was my first kershaw. I really was sad when I found out it was not stonewashed, but I still love the knife. If it bothers you then do what I did to my JYDII and use some 1000 grit sand paper and polish. 30,min to a mirror shine.

At least Kershaw uses the fine bead blast and not the corse bead blast BM uses! Kershaw's bead blast is easier to take care of and easier to get off if so desired!

the skyline was my first kershaw, i have one of the older models before they upgraded the steel (Aug 08 according to the blade) and i let some corrosion go on too long. i cleaned it up with some breakfree clp and steel wool. looks pretty good now.

I have had an older Vapor rust until I polished it up nice and shiny. My Skyline and newer Kershaws haven't had any problems. Any knife I carry in my pocket is probably going to rust if I don't keep it clean. Same reason I can't wear a watch. My skin causes them to corrode. Must be my alien ancestors.

last week i used my new skyline to cut a garden hose, wiped it on my shirt and put it away. next day i went to cut something and it had a dark stain on both sides of the blade. maybe i should have made sure it was dry before putting it away. i love this knife and i'm hoping when it gets a little more use the blade will open easier.

Are there going to be more skyline models released this year? I wod love to see an all metal skyline. ;)
