Your smallest "full size" knife.

+1 on the Izula II, it's a nice full handle and feels great. Also, here's a Koyote Convex EDC that's just awesome! (pictured with Scrap Yard Weiner Dog- another great blade!)

+1 for the Izula II. Might be worth to try.
Otherwise a Busse SAR 3, the blade is between an ESSE Izula and a ESSE 3 (I think it's 3.25") but with a longer handle than the Izula.

To me it seems that a classic Mora knife would fit your description perfecty. Light yet decent size and very capable.

Simple is good.

Mark Wohlwend has just posted these beauties up, might be another option to consider !

Specs are 3/32 steel.
Blade is 2.5 inches
Handle is 3.25 inches.

esse4, spyderco mule team w/my handles. Spyderco woodcraft mule w/my handle orange.
these are what i have in fixed blades in the 3 1/2 inch to the 4 1/2 inch esse. the spydercos provide more length for the handles than the esse.

Busse Game Warden. Where is the love? Oh ya ... over there, singing muk muk.
I
love this knife.

another vote for the izula2 -- I have XL hands and it fits great.
here's a pic of my izzy 2 laid on top of my ESEE4 for comparison:

Another one to look at is the Koster BOB knife -- needs scales, but very affordable.
He also makes it with scales, but I don't remember the name of that model (and it costs a lot more)
This is one I put osage orange scales on and made a pouch sheath for:

I don't know if hawkbills are useful to you, but the CRKT Bear Claw has a great handle that fills your hand and follows the shape of your fingers.

For a compact knife with a full, four finger grip, I gotta recommend the Michael Morris (mykulmorris) Pee Wee. 7" OAL with a 4.25" handle. Blade height tops out at 7/8". MM is a great guy to deal with to boot.

Second choice would be a Bark River Woodland Special. In the sheath it disappears into a Carhartt coat pocket.

The handle is only 2.5 inch's, blade 3 inch's. Made from an old file and ironwood. The fat handle gives a good grip.

My Michael Morris small fixed blade with 2 3/8" blade. 4 finger grip in picture with comparasion of regular 93mm Victorinox (Yeoman MK III yellow scales in this case):
