Hello to all! As you can see, I am very new to this forum, although I have spent many hours just reading all of your interesting discussions on various topics.
For those of you that read the William Henry post, you will remeber that I have a very small collection, and I am always seeking out advice for future purchases. I like to assemble dream/wish lists and then as money becomes available pick a wish and buy it. I tease my wife and tell her that I spend at least 10 million a year in my head.
That being said, after the many hours spent studying the EDC postings, I found myself wondering what everyone would pick given one pick for each major category of knife collecting, so here goes. Add categories if you feel that I have missed an important one.
-EDC folder
-Folder with some Class/Gentlemen's folder
-EDC Fixed blade
-Utility Fixed Blade for the outdoors
-Utility Folder for the outdoors
-Self-defense knife
-Brush clearing Knife/Machete
-Tree clearing knife/tomahawk
-Neck knife
-Best overall bang for the buck production
-Best overall bang for the buck custom

-EDC Flashlight (I know it is not a knife, but so many of you have them, and I would like to find one that would work well for me as well.)

Let the dreaming begin. Side note: Pictures help those without money dream in color. Hope this will be fun for all. Look forward to seeing what you all come up with.

Ray Cover is a well known knife maker, his son Jeff is now doing some. I picked this one up on the forum a day or two ago, less than 150.

Well as far as all the knives, I think its just prefernce, what you think fits your personal needs, but as far as the flashlight goes...I HAVE TO say that Fenix lights are the best for EDC...As far as an LED light goes...Most Fenix models use common AA batteries, and they put out the most light for the size as well as different modes on soem models...Now if you liike your incandescent lights and don't mind buying CR123's then obviously ANY Surefire light will be good!

Oh, this site is about the most popular place to buy Fenix lights, plus FREE SHIPPING ON ALL ORDERS!!!!!

So if you know nothgin about Fenix lights check out the descriptions...
