You took your time Alex!I dare to disturb thy thread,Jack Black , but I have an excuse!
There were a few I bought in 2023 but they only arrived this year, so now I can finally make a judgement.
Been waiting pretty long for the Ironwood Viper and it was totally worth it. I understand that it is (most likely) not a knife that one might expect to see in hands of a "cowboy" (of a cowboy movie I mean, not talking about an actual profession), but it gives me strong Old West vibe - ironwood, sheriff badge shield, snakes etc. Completed it with Desert color paracord lanyard.

But my absolute favorite, and the one I actually carried in '23, is a #34 in Unicorn Ivory. Can't believe I ever considered passing on it when it came out, I am so glad I didn't. Beautiful in every shape and form, it has been carried subsequently much more than any other traditional last year. And here it is, my Traditional Knife of the Year 2023!

P.S.: I don't see a deadline for posting in the rules post, but I'll delete if not appropriate.
Good choiceI meant to do this earlier, but, procrastination is what I do best, I guess...
It's actually no contest for me.... I remember anticipating knife releases, and being thrilled to receive them... the 92 Eureka Jacks were one of my earliest "grail" releases... I couldn't wait. I still really like the Eureka knives, but they just don't check all the boxes for me.
My big surprise for 2023 was one that I wasn't all that "excited" about... I wanted one, but it was more for the fact that it was the Forum knife.
Yes, the Bunny Knife.... I have been smitten with it (smote?) ... after receiving it, I put it in the pocket for the obligatory carry, which I do with all my knives... I intend to carry them. Getting it back out of the pocket is the difficult part...
What I didn't expect was how it literally checked ALL the boxes for what I want in a knife. Size, blade style, nail nick placement, choice of scales, and the harder to define feel of it, in hand... I can honestly say that if I was left with only one knife for the duration, this one would be it. Color me surprised...
So, for me, it's the Bunny knife for KOTY 2023....
