Hi guys my daughter keeps telling me I'm old-fashioned . And even if I get something new it still looks old :) so I was wondering whether your taste for traditional knives passes over to your vehicles . I got my self a new Jeep renegade though it's a new design it still has willys Jeep look . Though I did want the jeep Wrangler but my pennies didn't stretch that far lol. So here is my buck 110 with my new renegade . Or maybe not so new in Style lol . .

I dunno. You tell me.

Daily driver

And play toy. I built it.

And here is an old sowbelly in a really bad photo of it.

Yep definitely a traditional Style:) it reminds me of the old Sean Connery Bond films and the cars they drove lol

Not true for me. I drive a fairly new (leased) common 4dr.

Wow! SvtFreak. You did good! Nice old sowbelly :)

Thanks! It's my other hobby. The replica cobra is 375 hp. The mustang should be about 675 whp (850 or so motor) but haven't dyno'd it yet.

The sowbelly I sold and really regret it.

Well they both look great! Had a neighbor who built one from basically a kit of some kind? It's all greek to me. I could not do it.
Sorry to hear about the sowbelly, but we all do that right?

Yes, most are kit cars. If I had a buck for every time someone swore they saw a real one then I prove it's not, well, I could probably afford a real one lol! But the replicas are a lot of fun to build and actually drive better than the originals while being safer and generally faster. And, you'd be surprised. If you can do a brake job, swap calipers out and bleed brakes, you can build this. I have built cars literally from ground up though. Welded my own frame and all.

As far as selling knives, yeah we do. I've often thought about tracking down another but the bone on that one was so nice, I'm not sure I can find another to compare.

I don't have a pic of my own vehicle, but it's a 2017 Toyota Prius V; looks just like this one. I guess this reflects my alox SAK side! :p

I can believe it. A lot of kit cars I have seen, guys have tried to pass as originals. I admire anyone who can build a car from the ground up or even a kit. I have neither the skills nor the space. <I live in a city townhouse.

It's funny how the Case bone can be so inconsistent from one piece to another. Yours; or not yours anymore I guess: had particularly nice bone covers. I have a whiskey bone teardrop that is really nice. Bought another of exactly the same knife to give to my son. It was awful! I had to send it back. It was like whoever assembled it was color blind:grumpy:

Nice, SVTFreak! I figured as much . This Mustang's got a couple Coyotes under the hood.

Until recently, I had a bunch of old hoopties that we drove the wheels off. I got my wife a Subaru Forester and myself a Taco.

My knives....

I drive a Honda Civic that I bought new in 2008 when gas was up over $4 per gallon at times. I was a new teacher then, rubbing dimes together. I'm an old man on the inside, though, always have been, and my soul yearns for a pick-em'-up truck. I think that will be my next vehicle, whenever the money is right. I wouldn't even mind having an old square-body, but I think nowadays you just about need a second one just so you can find parts.

That's great! So it's not totally off the wall that I have a black case peanut, black alox pioneer, and black (uh never mind, this is a traditional thread) to ride in the center console of my black Mazda6?

For what it's worth, I tend to usually get smaller than average cars and probably slightly larger than average knives. Also, my cars and my knives are mostly economy models. I've been driving a 2007 black Ford Focus sedan (with "spoiler" on trunk lid and automatic transmission ) since 2010. It currently has about 52K miles on it; I walk and ride the city bus a lot :p.

SVTFreak has the prettiest Fords in this thread so far, but this is more my style..... Even if it is a Ford.

Thanks lol

I do really like that old ford truck. I often think about picking one up to Resto mod for a daily driver. That truck with a coyote motor and some new paint, nice interior and sound and would be a blast.

Nice ride, GE.

I drive a 16 year old leaky (is there another kind of 2.5 liter Subaru  ) Subaru Outback that seems like it shouldn't run but won't quit. Still on the original clutch, A/C still works, and all the electrical stuff is still electrical! I buy boxes of parts from RockAuto whenever they go on sale. Car always has a gallon of water, couple quarts of oil, Marvel Mystery Oil, fuses, tools, an air pump, and a serpentine belt in the back. It's paid off, though, and parts will be cheaper than a note for a looong time. To relate this to knives, I can afford more of them because my note is non-existent and my car insurance is cheap! My wife drives a 2014 Ford Escape Ecoboost so the kid doesn't have to smell like oil whenever she goes somewhere. :D

Here's a pic of a little Lakota Teal (Thanks, Alan!) on my frosty roof.

Some good looking cars, trucks and knives in this thread!

blademan 13, that's a fine looking old truck you've got.

Here's my everyday vehicle.

I keep my Smith & Sons Mudbug in the console.

The underside of the back seats (which I leave folded up most of the time, anyways) are perfect for affixing velcro patches to, so I had to have one of these to put on there. :)

This is my other vehicle, a 1976 Checker Marathon I've had since I was 15 (my first car).

Here it is with my favorite GEC on the hood. I was going to pull it out of the garage to take a photo (then take it for a drive, of course), but it's been raining all day, so a photo in the garage will have to do.

I took this picture when I had the car out recently. The keychain is made from a 1976 Michigan Bicentennial license plate, which is fitting since the Checker was made in Kalamazoo, MI.

To answer the OP's question, I'd say my taste in cars is somewhat similar to my taste in knives - a bit old fashioned, and I don't mind 'em a little beat up and well used. :D (I know the truck is still pretty new, but the plan is to drive it 'til the wheels fall off, so I'm sure it'll get there eventually, too.)
