Just two? Damn ...
How can I choose between Koenig, Shiro, Herman, Cheburov, Olamic, Holt, Medford, Hinderer, CRK, Spartan, AB, Strider, and on and on and on ... I like them ALL with each having their own characteristics. That's just my folders.

My wife and therapist both think I have issues 🙃 but I don't believe either ...

Buck and Demko. I've always liked most of what Bucks done. I also always like what Andrew and Mike did at cold steel in the past. now the Demko brothers and Mike are all back together at Demko, I've been liking what im seeing over there.

CPK, David Mary, GEC, Spyderco, SYKCO & kin, Hogue, Cold Steel, Mora, Buck, Imacasa, Kailash Blades, Josh Mazer (Navman), Schrade USA, Marbles USA, Tod Cutler, 2Hawks, Dawson, Kershaw, Russell Green River, Western USA...

I think that's a multiple of 2, so it should count.

Carothers performance knives, David Mary and Mecha the titanium genius, but there are so many masters of the craft that picking x# is always leaving so many acknowledged craftsmen out. Making things are much harder than breaking things so all makers striving for perfection are worthy of respect.

I'll stick with straight production companies.
Microtech and Spartan are my most carried brands. However Benchmade and Cold Steel are within a whisker.

I'll put it this way, like my Microtech and Spartan knives a bit more, but my Cold Steel and Benchmades have seen a lot of carry and hard work
