Hello everyone! Today I received my very first Fiddleback and boy was it exciting. I see a lot of people on here with multiple Fiddlebacks and I can't blame them, why wouldn't you want more of such a beautiful collection? I thought it'd be interesting to share what was your very first Fiddleback knife?. Please don't hesitate include a pic if you have one. So... with that said, I'll go first:

Very nice! F&F does look stellar. Production knives have gotten very good over the last decade, but imo you just can't beat a well done handmade.

My first Fiddlebacks should be done very soon. Can't wait to see them! I'll have pics and words to show when they arrive. ;)

Btw Joe, nice end grain. Who made that? Looking to replace the one I *just* bought my wife for Christmas.

Thanks! It was a fathers day gift from my daughter and wife. It came from the Vermont butcher block co. It's 2.5" thick of walnut.

Nice knife and great shots. I have a few Tuxedo as well and think they're pretty classy looking.

My first Fiddleback was a Bushfinger as well.

Man I really like the dark spalting on that. I also like how the pins match the liner. Is that also 1/8" O1 steel?

Thanks! This is one of the thick ones at 3/16" O1 and extra thick handles.

Yeouch that's as expensive as some of the best Boos blocks. I payed around $100 for the one I got her and it's already splitting apart on two ends. Guess this is one of those "get what you pay for" items!

On topic- thurin, that is a fine example. I'm always torn on the tuxedo knives. I think part of it is because they just don't cost as much as other scale options, but that's really stupid. They are really pretty, and I agree, they are classy! Gonna have to pick one up for sure.

Hey Strig, just to clarify, that Bushfinger I posted isn't considered a Tuxedo. It has the Black, but the Tuxedo is Natural and White.

But I agree, they're a nice looking handle for a base price option. Tuxedo on a SFT tang is a great entry point for a really awesome knife.

Bah I knew that. Got my wires crossed. :D

My original was a burlap Hunter. Still wish I had it.

I sent it in for a spa treatment and it turned out like this:

I miss that knife ......
