You're in a knife fight. Close your eyes what Benchmade is in your hand ? Why ?

Same here I don't always strap on my Glock 17 or 1911 or my P226 Combat when I go bike riding, hiking, or for a walk, but I never leave home without a Paramilitary 2, Or a Benchmade Bedlam or, a Microtech HALO, Something sharp.

What is a sig 226 compact? Would that not be a sig 229?

Best part of this thread was the CS video reference.
Absolutely Nailed it. :D

Not a knife fight, but in my last self defense encounter it was a pre production 806D2 that saved my life. Not to mention training....lots and lots of training....

Please elaborate.

Previous profession many years ago now, clearing some abandoned houses looking for a violent/armed home invasion suspect. I got one guy in custody, and I got blind sided buy a second guy. It went to the ground and while I was trying not to get choked out, I felt him trying to pull my sidearm from the holster. I've always carried two knives, one left and one right. I managed to access the AFCK on my left side and stabbed him off sidearm.
As for the training part, I've studied a variety of things over the years, mainly focusing on Jujitsu and Filipino Kali/Escrima. I credit the training experience with being able to function in that incident and deploy my equipment effectively. The AFCK was just a tool in the end, but it's one that I've trained with weekly for years and that played a huge part as well in my opinion.

All I need is a fork to stab myself in the eye for being so stupid as to get into a knife fight.

I am right handed - and my RF pocket usually has a 642 in it, my left pockets are for BM's, etc. Sorry, but at my age, etc, if attacked by a knife wielding BG, and feeling my life is in jeopardy, I can present and discharge my S&W 642 Airweight 5-shot .38 more quickly than I could a pocket knife, while blocking his strikes LH-ed. Of course, even paper cuts hurt like the dickens. I don't suggest this for anyone else - get real legal advice elsewhere.
