You're ultimate or favorite EDC?

If I could only keep one, I think I'd have to pick my Cruwear Military. Big enough for everything I do, small and light enough to carry miraculously comfortably, and in a really nice steel. I'd miss the hell out of the rest of them, though.

If I am not carrying a Buck Alpha Dorado or 110, it will be a Spyderco Manix 2, Military or an Emerson A-100.

"Favourite"? How's about the term "most useful". For 45 years now I've carried a SAK Spartan. Plenty enough extra tools on board to accomplish more things than slice tomatoes, open mail and sharpen pencils and yet small enough not to wear out a pant pocket nor require a holster.
How many EDC users here are willing to clean off engine manifolds, open sardine cans, paint pail lids or tighten or loosen stubborn slot/Philips/Robertson screws with their 'finely honed and polished blades-only' babies?

I'm happy carrying a folder and a multitool, and using both of them heavily. :)

Favorite folder is a tough thing to settle on. Today, it's a ZT 0550.

Usually spyderco military is my favorite knife, it fits my hands perfect. But last 2 months the gayle bradley and elmax para 2 kicked out everything else out of my pockets. Wasn't a huge para 2 fan, got one and it just collecting dust in my case but I wanted to try elmax and I only trusted spyderco to do it right(which they did, holds an amazing edge and fairly easy to resharpen). So I got the sprint from bbs and gotraped on the price but im glad I got it cuz its an amazing knife and for it to kick out my beloved milie its gotta be something special. And the gb kicks ass perfect fit and finish and super smooth, m4 is a great steel, takes a keen edge and holds it for quite a long time.

This. A knife I made because it fit conveniently in a nest of knives. S90v @ 61-62Rc from Peters, .006" behind the edge, 4.5° per side on the main grind, around 12-15° per side on the edge, 5.55" OAL. Slices like crazy. I gave it some tough love last night and tested it on some solid core 12ga copper wire. The only evidence of the test was a copper discoloration on the matte surface behind the edge. Did it twice to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Plan to make more in 3v. Very excited.

Edited to add OAL.

It would be almost impossible for me to choose a favorite out of my collection. But...since the topic is favorite edc, I'll have to say my three sisters forge beast because it is my most carried blade. I think I've only left it home twice since I got it. I can't explain what it is, something just draws me to this knife and I feel naked without it, even if I'm carrying another knife that I also love, like my dlc Grayman ti ti Dua.

It has all come down to a CRK small Sebenza for me, matched up with a GEC traditional. I do have to admit it's refreshing to be able to whip one of those out without attracting unwanted attention.

For starters, I don't have an 'ultimate' EDC knife. Many that have gone with me in the last years tend to be smaller, lighter versions of what I used to tote. I went through a Buck Lite period, then got into the Spyderco Military trend followed by more exotic knives of various heritage.

Last week I found myself using a Twitch II by SOG with that nifty little locking mechanism. This knife is just a bit smaller than my trusty Seki-built ATS-55 folder that has seen more use than I care to remember. Both are great EDC knives. The big Leatherman gets left home in favor of these lighter packages that don't weigh me down!

All I know is that my EDC choices have generally become simpler and smaller over time. Although I will upsize accordingly if I feel that a place or situation warrants it. 95% of the time, as in day to day, I just bring the smaller practical tools.

Currently?
My Mucrotech SOCOM Delta w/ aluminum handles. Its everything I wanted in a folder

I'd like to get my greasy little pays on a large Sabenza to try it out, but nobody I know personally has one

Its funny, my EDC's started off small then got really huge. Now it is somewhere in between. Probably the heaviest EDC of mine was my leatherman surge w/ pocket clip and that bugger is sporting somewhere 12-13 ounces. I found myself needing all the tools less and less so it got bounced to the backpack and car.

Messed around with some of the huge folders and some smaller ones. But for now a blade thats 3.5in and around 3-7 ounces works just fine for me
