I've been around here long enough an letting my voice be heard long enough to let the bulk of you see what I'm about so, what's the verdict.

I'm not looking for friends or love and support, so don't mince words or candy coat anything, I honestly want to know what the average forum member thinks of me, from a purely academical standpoint. I won't rebutt anything, I won't try to defend myself or ward off criticisms. If you have something tosay, let it be known.

I think the fact that you have to POST a question like that says it all

On a more serious note, I do find your posts entertaining ......... as well as long winded at times.

Keep up the good work dude!

No way dude.Every time my wife asks for an honest opinion with the same kind of disclaimer:be honest honey I really want your opinion,I end up in trouble. So I will tell you what I tell her.Yes your hair looks nice. No,those pants don't make your butt look big.And my personal favorite:I wasn't looking at that other girl,I was just streching my neck.hehehehe!

The only thing I can say is you only have 834 posts at this time. GET TO WORK!

Yes, I guess I have a bit to say about everything, don't I? The real question is wether you're getting quality with that quantity.

For instance, I just wasted three or four posts locking horns with a guy because I didn't like the vibes I was picking up from his comments aimed at me. It's that sort of thing that is my real flaw, and it's that which I need to get under control. I've been rather agitated the past few weeks and it's having an adverse effect on my posts.

We have never spoken on the forums or elsewhere, but I have to say every time I see a post by you, I have to stop by and read it. It seems that you have been around a lot and have had a lot of life experiences. I for one find your input entertaining, although long winded at times. You seem like a down to earth person who speaks their mind.

I see a lot of good content in your posts.

Your passion shows through, but then if it didn't, what good would the posts be? I'm sure you've read a lot of dry, but factual presentations. Do they grab your attention?

We all have to take a chill pill now and then.

snickersnee,
i admire the integrety you have shown in posting this post.
as a matter of fact you have been a bit of a smart a#% from time to time and saying your mind is not a bad thing, but it is the way you say it which makes the difference.
i am willing to bet you must be pretty young, since you your spirit and conviction point that way .which again is not entirely a bad thing, but none of us holds god's truth and we all can learn from each other if we listen, check for ourselves and only then to form an opinion, you can diagree with someone or even think he is an idiot but hey..if it works for him..and others..maybe there is something there, you have a nature of a fighter[i think]but if you want to become a worrior of your own right you have to be a listener and an observer so you'll pick from everyone any input you may sometime use,you do not have to like it but if it is in your "hard disk" one day you'll see it might come handy.
keep on the good work and do not cross horns with old bulls, they are grumpy and dangerous.

Well put, Scorpio!

Snick,

I always enjoy reading your posts and checking the reactions. A lot of what you say is very valid, some of it seems a "little stretched", but you are always entertaining. Your posts get people thinking, talking, exchanging ideas, and that's what this forum is all about. Keep up the good work.

Mike

Snick,

I have enjoyed reading your posts on the various topics that arise. I especially enjoy your personal notes on past experiences in comparitive slants with other posters.
Never one to believe anything without first hand experience or knowledge, I applaud your questioning manner and brusque approach to most if not all subjects....
Perhaps you are a bit long-winded, a bit loquascious, but what you say provokes much thought and numerous responses, so I say keep up the good work.
On a personal note, I too, find myself reading your comments with tongue in cheek and enjoying the responses you elicit.
Peace.

You know I appreciate what you have to say. I think the criticisms I might make are ones that go double for myself: make posts shorter, don't post right away if you're angry, and know when to break things off and end a conversation amicably.

For the most part, though, I think avoiding "hot water" over your style of posts is the responsibility of the reader, not you. People must remember that everything posted here is opinion, even if the ubiquitous "IMO" is absent, that attacks on a someone's ideas are not the same as personal attacks, and that at the end of the day we all share a common love of knives. Keep it up, Snick - I learn something each time you post, and I learn the most when your post is about how one of my posts is wrong

P.S. The project is moving forward, will email you in the near future.

Anyways... I enjoy your posts.... Especially the animal ones..lol....

I think you have a lot of good info, and some cool stories. Keep posting. I think you should also check out the Hoodlums board and Jeff Randall's board to post more of your survival type stories.

It means a large fighting knife suitable for the cut or thrust, a style of knife fighting utilizing both the cut and thrust, or a knife fight.

It's derived from some Dutch words, "schnit" and "sniggen".

Snick,

I don't like your posts worth a damn and you need to find a new hobby that you have some sense in!

Cool off.....I'm just kidding.

Seriously, I appreciate the straight-up posts and all the experiences. Wished you would do some posting over on our board...hint...hint.

I believe Lewis Carol was the playwrite connected with the Mikado, right?

I was quite suprised to do a search on the internet and discover "snickersnee" being used as a synonym for katanas and tantos, two weapons that I am singularly unimpressed with. Damned ironic.
