Just finished this one this morning. Something I havent seen done here on the exchange is a Youth knife for those with smaller hands. this one is on the same pattern as my turkey/small game knives, but with a shorter handle for those with small hands.


OAL- 6 3/4"
blade- 3 1/4" long, .110" thick, 3/4" wide at the guard
steel- Aldo's high carbon 1095, with in-house differential heat treatment
grind- a full convex grind, with distal taper
finish-etched 600 grit finish
handle-birdseye maple, dyed blue, with tru-oil finish
guard- 1/4" brass and 1/8" brass pin
sheath- 10oz leather, hand stitched, lightly tooled, hot-waxed, with cam, for "snap fit", 3 copper rivets for belt loop
blade fully tested for edge retention and tip strenth before finishing

Joe, it's hard to tell the handle size from the pics. What is the girth at the middle of the handle ? (a piece of string wrapped around the handle is easiest way to measure accurately)
What i want to know is if it might fit a rather small hand attached to a good sized 6 yr. old.
