Hey everyone

I wanted to ask the members here: What Youtube users or channels do you like to watch or subscribe to in reference to knives? Are there particular reviewers that you esteem particularly in reviewing a knife or knives, or make particularly helpful reviews?

My intent is to find more Youtube users and channels that I can get good and dependable info from. I've found some periodically that I either subscribe to or watch. Two that initially come to mind are - Virtuovice - and - A.G. Russell Knives' channel. Virtuovice has posted numerous videos of his hunts and using his knives on the deer he's shot. I really appreciate and value seeing the knives in use such as he shows. A.G. Russell has some good short videos showing their products, a nice addition to their catalogs.

In the context of Youtube reviews, are there particular practices or aspects of reviews that you like to see used?

jdavis882 is good, and he's one of our own on here, I'll check out vininull as well even though I can't understand a word he's saying, but I like his hard use tests. I don't like long winded half hour youtube videos, I like people that get to the point, actually demonstate the knife in use, and don't take a half an hour to do it. Theres a few I will avoid at all cost , but that's not what you asked and it will certainly end up in W&C if that can of worms is opened up again. basically if I plan on buying a knife I type it in on youtube, I will avoid the ones I hate then click on a few videos specially if jdavis882 has done a video on said knife, or others and get as many reviews on the knife as possible...But I take the videos for what they are opinions, I will not buy a knife based on just a youtube video, mainly I watch them to see a knife in hand, how it compares in size to other knives I own or have owned, or to see if a lot of people have had issues with said knife..

Thanks Allen, I'll be checking out those you mentioned. I agree, long reviews can get a bit tedious at times.

I don't like jdavis822's reviews. His reviews are too long and I think he's wrong on many things. He's got "agendas" and "issues".

Not all are knife reviews. Some are just knife related.

Darkchild57 is good....so is wealljuggleknives there's one more good one but I can't spell his username and I'm on my cellphone cajunblaze used to be good but I dunno if he's put out any new vids in awhile

Jim Skelton does a decent job. He, like some others, does go on a bit too long sometimes but he is articulate.

Tuffthumbz is my favorite because I love modified knives and I think Jdavis882/xCaffieneJunkyx tie for second place.

I'll just give you the best and the worst.

Best? Cutlerylover. Informative, energetic, and he doesn't drag on.

Worst? Probably thenextarcher. He starts the video with "welcuuuuummmm", which makes me want to harm small animals. I really hate that.
Plus he has that boring, dull way to his videos that makes you go to someone better like Jeff (Cutlerylover) or Carter (xiuxiu1313).

Really dude, I thought I was your favorite:grumpy:

Hey now! I never said I didn't have a third and fourth favorite:D You're in there buddy. There's really only a few knife reviewers/enthusiasts that I watch anymore. There's a lot of people that don't really know what they're talking about which infuriates me.

Nutfancy is my go to channel when i want to take a good long look at a knife being held, all beit i have the volume to zero, i do think like minded (well just in that i drone on and on when i talk) i just get bored with him, i like to think of his vids as 30 minute demos... :)
