Ok, you gave it away.... ;)

I'll give a report back soon on Trisak's good work. I think we will all be impressed.

While this knife might not look tactical in the black on black rough fineshed subdued kind of way it is very tactical in a urban environment as it doesnt look like a military combat knife and desreetly carrys the bite of a rabid pit bull. Its about the same as when a SWAT guy takes off the uniform and puts on a suit and tye to go out for a steak dinner. Did you guys notice the hardend D2 tool steel pivot? Nice one Yun.

...all the way from Thailand to me in about five days. No extra fee from Yun.

The knife fills the bill in many ways: It is MUCH larger than I was expecting. It looks so fancy, I was under the impression of a fancy gents style knife. Nope, this one has authority!

The materials are very complimentary, and that stag has a natural grip to it which needs no 'pimped' G10 grooves...

It is handmade. You look closely, and there is evidence here and there. It is not a meticulously symmetrical folder with finish unsurpassed. That's OK. And the price reflects that. That said, it has touches that make me smile, like the combo satin and polished blade. (BTW, the front edge of the knife has a bevel grind with a high polish. I have NEVER, I mean NEVER, handled anything sharper. I blew me away. Believe me, I have handled some sharp knives, too....)

Yun and I tallked of a sheath to carry it, and he outfitted me with a CRAZY nice rayskin belt sheath. Just incredible was his followthrough, and personal notes. I will post a photo of it soon.

This knife is a pleasure to own, not only because of the knife itself, but in my appreciation for Yun's A+ customer service and delivery.

Highly recommended. Yun's a fine maker in my mind.

Coop,

I enjoyed the same experience with Yun. He is a very honorable man! Shipping was unbeliebably fast, considering it was coming from Thailand! I ordered the "Avatar", which is very similiar to yours. I have some serrations on the blade, and the Stag & wood are reversed on mine. I showed it to several people at the Empire Knife Ckub and they were blow away by it.

Thanks again Yun for a satisfying knife buying experience.

Ken

Edited to correct mistake.

Nice score Coop!

Gotta say my experience with Yun was just the same...knife arrived super fast (way quicker than expected!) and was better than I was hoping for!

Mine also came screaming sharp, begging to be used...and as one of the knives still in the EDC rotation it's kept the edge perfectly. Nice!

And those grinds... :D

Good job Yun!

Yes....thanks for the correction. Yun emailed me politely and mentioned my mistake. I apologize for being mistaken and slightly inconsiderate.

Guys, thanks, for the nice responses! I also acquired a REALLY nice ray skin belt pouch from Yun after I described a need to him, and it makes it that much better. (His friend makes them up for him).

Happy Coop

Do you make any of the ethenic bush knives from Your country ,Laos or Cambodia ? They are very interesting, and useful pieces. The people use one tool for so many chores, their skills are a wonder to watch.

Be well
