Mine arrived today thanks Spyderco  it is way cool & alot of fun - I do need some slower motion video of the moves though & maybe some written directions / drawings or something I have watched the video over a bunch of times but I can make it out to good to see what to practice.

I have never flipped a bali or butterfly so I have no experience to draw from I am not going to give up until I master it ;)

That looks pretty sweet. Thanks for the pics, I've been waiting to see some other views of this for a while.

I've never had a Bali either but after watching a few of CutleryLover's videos on Youtube and practicing a bit I can do the basic double flip open and closed pretty confidently. I love this thing!

George,

That's sweet. Nice pics.

Are those things steel of some type or are the colored parts FRN or what? If they are steel is that a powder coating or what?

It almost looks like the brass looking rings are there to add a bit of weight.

The Baliyo is mainly made out of some sort of polymer. I don't think it's simple FRN, Sal has said that it's a custom polymer- it seems to be more flexible than FRN, and I'm willing to bet it is self-lubricating.

The brass rings on the ends of the arms are there precisely to add weight. Even with the brass weights, the Baliyo is very light. It doesn't weigh much more more than your average ball-point pen.

Dude thanks for the info. That's good to know.

Mine should be here in a few short hours now :D

Nice pictures

My wife got hers yesterday. Click, click, click, click, click all day long! I have to figure out how to get my hands on it!:D

Is there a way to "lock" it open? It doesn't look comfortable to use closed.

Nope, its kind of hard to write with. I would consider it more of a toy, than a pen.
