Rusty, I had some pics for the Victorian Kukri thread which may have been helpfull but I cant seem to post them for some reason so was going to email them to Yvsa as he was asking the questions of Spiral in regard to split tangs etc. Rod
 
Rod - Email them to me and I will post them if you like. I've also emailed Yvsa but gotten no return, plan on calling him today to see if everything is okay.

Keep in mind that Yvsa is applying for next year's Tour de France on his Perculator, or Travelincubator or whatever it is called, as he builds up the daily miles since he got it! ;)

I bet he's doing "mountain work" on it by now, getting ready for the Alps' segments.

Ardvaark, I think you misspelled it but I'm too lazy to look it up.

Were you thinking of the word flocinauhilipilificatrix ( or flocinauhilipilificator ) from Heinlein's the Number of the Beast ?
 
Actually, it's from "The Sirens of Titan", by Vonnegut. And I have NO doubt that it's misspelled.
