Many Wado Equa's Dan!!!!
Kis and some others have requested pix of my 18" AK and her tool's.
Let me say that she isn't a wimpy khuk although she is a khuk like most wimmen, Just TZN Ladies.
I don't know if the pic is big or good enough to check out the original convex edge, but it's there and she came that way!!!! Curvy, like most ladies, had one g/f that was like bumping into a fence post when I kissed her.
The AK isn't like that at all!!!! I oughta name her, but she needs a name like Matilda, Mona, or the like, something serious and not too feminine, but still beautiful. Maybe Jonny, eg. On the Spot, or Bonita, eg. Bone eater.
The tools are ones I made because of the size and inferiority of the originals and besides I like two kardas better than a karda and chakma.
The heavy karda is made from a half of an old pair of pruning shears I had laying around that I ground out, file worked, hardened and drew to final hardness.
The other, long thin blade, was made from a Cold Steel Red River Blade I cut down to fit the khukuri scabbard.
These CS Blades are a well kept secret, cheap, but not plentiful anymore.
If you get a chance to cabbage on to a dozen or so then by all means do it as they can be handled or ground into other configurations without hurting the hardness if you're careful.
I didn't do so well on the file work on this one, but bad health and being tired doesn't contribute to one's best work.
The heavy karda I did on several good days.
