I just hope this little 2.6 unit doesn't start screwing up the forums through the reply to post tag.
And I still don't and can't understand why it's only my WebTV unit that seems to be doing this.
There's at least 3 other WebTV unit user's that post in the forums.

I still think it's a cookie problem and I have deleted my cookies twice already this morning and this post is a test to see if they come back up after I deleted them yet again before I made this post.
So I am off to reply again and see if somehow my cookies have been restored.
It may be that I have to quit posting alltogether until I can get another system.
At least I may be able to catch up on some much needed jobs then.

Now this is strange. I started to reply to this post again right after I made the previous post and my name and password were in their little boxes.
I deleted them again, returned to forums, then came here to post. That's a BPITA!!!
But I am gonna try again to see if the cookies come back again.

Oh and Al the Russian Olive is very pretty!
Don't know if there's enough for a khuk handle, but there is for smaller knives.
I will let you know how it turns out when it seasons and I get to put it na a handle. Thanks again!!!

It is quite an assumption that the Web TV is what is causing the problem. Other Web TV users do not seem to be having problems.

I suspect there may be an internal bug in the forum software causing this. Perhaps some internal data, such as Yvsa's profile data, is corrupt.

Maybe it's time to be "born again" as Yvsa2?

Thanks Howard I will do that.
What's really wierd is that I can delete my cookies on preferences and make one post and they are reset without me doing anything.
I go back and delete the cookie everytime I make a new post to make sure something else doesn't screw up.
And everytime the cookie gets reset.

Bro I am really fed up with this and shakeing the woods right now to see what falls out in the way of a computer.
And a nice big scanner would be really nice.

The problem right now is that we're heading out the 23rd for Phoenix and this will have to wait until we get back.
The nice thing is that I will have access to an old computer in Phoenix to post with so I will be around except on travelin' days.

And if the new name as Yvsa2 doesn't work then I will do something else although it may take a while.

The H.I.Forum over there will be getting more traffic from me now.
I had forgotten about Jame's old post asking about that old khukuri he had.
I sent a link to Terry and he just called me all excited and said he would really like to have it.
It appears to be a real nice example of an old WW II khukuri.

Terry said he would register and post about it letting James know what he had, providing he's still around.
And that forum still has one nice archive with scads of pix of a lot of really nice old khukuris!!!

I find it hard to believe it has anything to do with you or your setup. You post a lot (I read 'em all--I wouldn't miss one of your posts . . .), so probably what seems like a pattern is only a coincidence.

This is a stretch, but maybe it's something about your signature? I mean the arrow. Unix, at least, uses the ">" to redirect output, but in the shell (command line), but who knows? Maybe you should try changing that.

Personally I'd rather have a molasses-slow forum with your posts, than a zippy one without them.

I deleted that part of my signature.
But I am still in a quandry since Spark has said I am out of here if I break the forums again so I don't dare make a post until I either change my system or I get some help from Spark.
And since he's busy with other matters that has not been forthcoming.

The post count means nothing to me
so I have no problems registering under another name and password but until something is settled whether it's really my unit or the bladeforums cookie I will have to get one of the many guys who have so graciously offered to make initial posts for me.
And I thank you all from the bottom of my heart who have offered to do that for me.
I have deleted the bladeforums cookie yet again, and without reseting it in preferences, to see if the arrow may have been causing the problem.
But I bet it's still there when I go to make my next reply.

When we get to Phoenix and I have the time to get on our daughters real computer I will take a chance on posting a new topic.
Since posting from another unit will have its own cookie there shouldn't be a problem.
I hope.
At least it will prove one way or the other whether it's my WebTV unit or the Bladeforums cookie that's causing the problem.
And if I can successfully post from Penny's real computer using my name I will then seriously start looking at some computers when we get back home.
One of our daughters has offered to go with me computer shopping.
She just got a really nice used unit with lots of bells and whistles for just a little bit so maybe I can find the same kind of deal.

This will be my last reply to post until we get to Phoenix.
The car is loaded and full of the neccesary fluids and the tires have been checked so we're ready to head out....

I am bringing along my 2 favorite khukuri's, the YCS and the BGRS as well as about 4-5 Indin Flutes so that Finn and I can get together and play a song or three and maybe chop something.
I would really love to have a longish piece of dead Saguaro Cactus to make a Didgeradoo from.
And maybe after all that that Dayumed Kitty that has been roaming Finn's place will leave peaceable like.

And I will also be able to check whether it's my WebTV unit or the Bladeforums cookie that's giving me the problems it has.
So if Spark has to ban me don't be upset.
I truly understand and I will be back with whatever it takes to get back.
I could use almost my whole Indin Name of Yvsa Gigagei if I have to change.

Okay I deleted my cookie that was still here from the last time I used this unit and I am gonna see if this unit does the same as mine at home.
By all rights I think the cookie should stay deleted unless I reset it, but being pretty computer illiterate I don't know for sure.
So if this works I should know whether it's something in my profile or the WebTV unit.
