This knife is a new pattern of mine designed to be used as a utility slicer/carver. The knife was in my shop overnight on a humid evening and developed some patina in a couple areas even though it was stored with oil on the blade. I tried to get the spots off the but it etched in. It can be seen on the upper left side of the blade about an inch from the point ( image #4) The other is at the bevel side of the point but can't be seen on camera. Instead of regrinding the blade I lowered the price.
Here is a link of this steel's performance and microstructure !
