I just bought my very first Spyderco knife,an endura with a ZDP-189 blade about a couple of weeks ago.The other day,I was looking at the edge and I couldn't see where the lamination line was ,since I've read that the spyderco's are supposed to have a ZDP-189 core and outer layers of ATD 34 OR 420J2 stainless steel.

I think its all ZDP 189, no lamination.

I'm really comfused,I read two knife magazine articles(one Tactical Knives the other Blade Magazine);one say it's laminated and the other says it's a solid ZDP-189 blade. But if it was a solid blade, this steel would be 3-4 times more than a normal one according to one of the articles.

The Calypso Jrs. and the Jess Horns are laminated. I believe the carbon fiber Calypso is also. The Enduras and Delicas are solid ZDP.

Don't believe everything you read :) (and check the date when the article was published!)

ZDP Endura and Delica are not laminated.

The new and improved Endura is definitely ZDP-189 all the way. Love mine and hope you enjoy yours!

I got one, and there's no lamination. I've never read the ZDP Delica's blade's a laminate, either.
