Yesterday, my new Caly 3 arrived. It's stunning. I've never seen a better factory edge out of the box. After a lot of careful thought and research, I've decided to team the Caly with my "Climber" SAK for EDC. Here's what I like:
1) Perfect size and weight
2) Wire clip is awesome! It fits very low in a pants pocket and is almost undetectable from more than a few feet away.
3) Carbon-fiber scales--very sexy
4) Laminated steel--exotic and yes, scary sharp.
Now I'm covered for anything in the city--knives in the pocket, SAK multitool and rescue tool in the truck.
My next project is to figure out the best combination for hiking and backing. No way I'm going to abuse the Caly but thinking about a nice FB to team with my SAK.
Any thoughts?
