ZDP Caly Jr. Question

Did the Caly Jr. with the ZDP-189 blade ever come with a Black handle?? Everyone that I have ever seen has the Burgundy handle, however I did find one advertised to have the ZDP-189 blade steel with a Black FRN handle. Is this a misprint or what???

It was originally produced with that "blood-red" handle (these are sharp knives guys, not French wine Burgundy stuff).

I have one of these ZDP Calys and the only thing blood red was my finger when I sliced it! Seriously though, the handle really is more of a burgundy than a "blood red" color, just MHO.

Spyderco has sprint runs coming in ZDP-189 - Delica, Jess Horn, and Lum Chinese Folder.

I have heard that the Calypso is being done as a sprint run (1200 pieces) for a distributor in black handle in ZDP-189, but they won't be available until the 4th Quarter.

I did hear about the Lum, but was unaware that this was ZDP-189. Can someone confirm? This would be an awesome knife in that steel.

Yes, word has it that there is a Lum Chinese with ZDP in the works. No word as to when it will be available yet. This is actually a sprint run that was pick up upon request from the Spyderco forum on bladeforums. I think Carlos acutally started that request.
