Oh my god!!! I just got a
Jess Horn burgandy frn w/ the laminated zdp blade. The thing is a frigging laser beam. So I get on for sale by: individuals and lo and behold, A bob Lum Chinese folder. Bam! I buy it instantly...
Between the Kershaws and Spydies I am getting a pretty good stash of snotty steel. I think a couple are gonna go to Krein for a diet. Do I need an Endura or will the saber grind leave me wanting?
Also, what would you NOT use zdp to cut? Thanks in advance,
Russ:D

If you buy a ZDP Endura, plan on sending it to Tom. I was not happy with the thick stock edges on any of my Enduras. The one I had Tom take down to 0.010" behind the edge has claimed a permanent spot in my pocket.

I try to avoid cutting wire and concrete with mine.

Ditto, the geometry of the E4 and D4 will be improved with a flat grind. My two are going to be sent for some of Tom's spa time.

After reading all the post on here about how difficult is was to thin out the edge on ZDP189 Enduras I sent mine to Tom straight from the dealer.

Saved on shipping.

It really is a cutting monster! It's the only knife that I carry everyday while a bunch of others get rotated in my right front pocket. Touch ups are a breeze with my little diamond DMT red dot key chain.

ZDP is fantastic stuff once you give it properly thinned out geometry. It takes such a good edge, and so easily too considering how long it holds it.
