Zero Tolerance 0200 review and testing against Buck/Strider889

I wonder if some of the black moly paste mixed with a medium weight quality oil would be a good choice for the blade bushing? The moly does the work and the oil there to keep the moly in place.

........anybody try this on their knife yet?

..................After a few weeks of use now, I will be switching over to a light weight grease for the blade bearing. Gun oil is not viscus enough. I may give it another week though.

Excellent review on the ZT. I'd never think of putting the Buck 889 in the same league as the ZT though, not any real competition.

I'd have to agree on your initial thoughts on the Buck knife. I had mine for about three days, same lock issue, blade issue. Decided to send it back for a Kershaw Lahar which was one of my best decisions in knife collecting yet!

Most excellent reviews. I truly enjoy it, and yes, your pics say a thousand words to me.

BTW, what did the poor watermelon ever do to ya that you had to stab him like that ? :D

Kungfumo,

Excellent review and photos. im glad to see that someone is using this model hard. I am going to be purchasing one of these babies in the next few weeks and i have one or two questions. First, what do you use to clean the blade in the field and at home after such mixed use, with food and wood and the like?

second, since it has been several months since you purchased this knife (and since it died) what news have you to report on its long term maintenance requirements and uses?

Thanks

For the money the ZT 0200 is the best all around tool knife I have ever owned, Hands Down. If I had to get rid of all my other knives and keep just one, the ZT 0200 would be it.

Thanks for the effort and insight. That looks like a brute of a folder!

I would have liked to see a comparison with an Emerson, like the CQC11, which I think is a real competitor.

Do you normally baton with a folder? You must wreck a lot of knives! :D
