Zero Tolerance 0350, or Benchmade Osbourne Rift?

Damn. This is a very hard decision. I can see the downsides to the 0350, but it just LOOKS so damn comfortable and sturdy. I know that is an extremely ignorant view, but they make them look pretty damn good. As for the benchmade, i love the company to death. But they seem to make every product cost more than it should. The handle on the rift looks basic, without jimping and whatnot. The blade also doesn't look as good as the 0350, IMHO. Also, the price difference is quite a factor. If i go with the ZT, i can also have enough left over to buy me a kershaw groove
Tanto to mess around with (yes, I budget myself very tightly with knives. We all know how they can burn a hole in your wallet.)
The only thing holding me back is my good experience with benchmade, and my lack of experience with s30v.
Also, if it helps, i intend to be cutting loads of cardboard with this knife.

S30V would excel at cutting cardboard. If it helps any, I love my tanto groove - has been in my EDC rotation for ~4 years now! As they say, 2 is 1 and 1 is none ;)

I tweaked it to almost perfection. I'll send it in when it's seen some milage on it.;)
I love this knife too much to part with it now. It's my favorite production knife. I put a polished edge on it so sharp it can widdle hair.
So shall we go with "almost Benchmade?" ;)

I'd say feel them both out, most likely it will be a no-brainer once you've done that. Steels, build quality, lock (assuming you are right-handed) and blade are all fifty-fifty. Looks are subjective, but the Rift's G10 looks really nice to me.

So, After seeing the ZT is not in stock anywhere, i need to find a new knife. The rift has lost it's appeal to me compared to the benchmade 710, but damn. I really wish i could buy the ZT, or an emmerson. Too bad. I'd love for companies to give estimates on when their products will be available again after dissapearing.
