The "beefy" part is what gets me.
I have to admit, I've never owned a Paramilitary 2, and have only messed with them. In my opinion, I prefer having a flipper, since it can be deployed with gloved hands easily. Depending on just how big your hands are, you might have trouble getting the spyderhole opening.
I can't say much about either lock, in terms of which is easier, but that's up to you to find out and get used to.
The ZT is much wider, and offers a more substantial feel to it. I like it for hard use stuff, since I can really get a good confident hold on the knife. Once again, I haven't owned a PM2, but I would imagine with a narrower and slightly thinner package, it may be a little more difficult ( so in terms of what I own, it would be using a thinner leek or blur, vs a thicker griptilian or 0350).
If you have a Sportsman's warehouse near you, I'd hop in there and take some rope and stuff with you to cut. Mine has both the PM2 and 0350 in stock, a long with a bunch of other knives.
