So, I keep coming back to this knife. I've never handled one, and it seems unlikely I'll encounter one in a brick and mortar shop around here. However, there's something about it the looks that I just love. My problem is that it's a liner lock and I have trouble trusting liner locks. For some reason, they just don't feel secure to me. For those of you that have the 0350, talk to me me. I need some convincing. :)

You should trust nearly 100% of the pocket knife locks out there, almost every one will keep the blade firmly in the open position. You'll see, your lack of trust isn't justified. Frame locks aren't one bit stronger than liner locks any way. If you want a strong lock the best option around is the triad lock. You need to buy a slipjoint. Also buy a $10 Opinel and other untrustworthy locks and you will soon trust them.

I would of agreed with you. A couple of years ago. I have had a couple of cheep liners fail on me and my fingers payed the
Price that's what stopped me from originally buying a 0350. After all the rewiews I bought one and never regretted it once I held & used it. It's a solid knife and it has never failed on me. I loved my first one so much I've collected everyone made.
Not sure if that helps but I don't think you will regret buying one

As far as liner locks go, I've never had one fail on any quality knife I've ever owned. There's precious little difference between a liner and a frame lock, and some would argue that there's no difference.

Now, as far as the 0350 goes, I owned one once, and they're barbed wire tough, but you'll give up a tremendous amount of pocket real estate, which is why I sold mine. I really don't put much, or anything else in my knife pocket anyway, it to me it felt like a big slab of steel in my pocket. Not very comfortable at all, at least for me.

Suffice it to say, they're quite popular, but you should really try to see one face to face before you buy one.

I like mine but more for the M390 blade than the CF, it really does not save much weight over the G-10 and is a less grippy but not enough to scare me into not carrying it. It does take up some pocket room (width, not length) so if you have not ever held on in person it may be a good idea to run to your nearest knife store and play with the regular 0350.

I have not had any problem with the ZT liner locks and have a CRKT and a couple of Buck's that have much slimmer liners that have never given me any grief.

Thanks, everybody. I'm feeling better about the liner-lock now. I'm sure it's a pocket brick, but most ZTs are, really, except for maybe the 0770 and 0450. I've currently got an 0801, so I'd guess it should feel similar in the pocket. Wavester, thanks for the video. It certainly makes the knife tempting. And btw, do you have very big hands? I expected the thing to look a bit bigger but, in your hands, it doesn't.

I have a 0350 and it locks up like a dang vault. The thing is a beast of a little knife (I don't consider a 3.25" blade big...if you want that, grab a 0300 while you still can).

It's solid, through and through.

The liner lock on my Ontario Rat 1 failed on me..but only because I batonned with it haha. But the ZT liner lock is so fat and beefy, it's tough as nails. I would not worry about it at all
