Zero Tolerance 0500 MUDD

Mine was used and I don't see a serial# on it. It has the same "0500 - KAI Patented - MADE IN USA" like the Serial# 1614 example above. There's no "G&G Hawk Design" above it. No Serial# but below where above example has the Serial# it says "AUG07".

Could it be a replacement blade or even a fake?

It could be either a replacement ( I don't think though, they are usually sterile) or just something they changed later on in the production. I was just picking on you because I have seen both like you posted and mine! :p

Nice. Picking on the new guy (first post on the KAI subforum on 4/16/2013)!

No worries. you had me going there for a sec.

My "0500" actually works. I like it. One day a BNIB as well. Have to find an out of the way gun shop...

I know what you mean; I recently acquired a user 0500 (which is in my EDC rotation), and I'd love to find one bnib, but there are so many other knives on my want list! Maybe someday soon the planets will align...

Why yes I am! Thats just how it works over here we like to have fun, just hard to sometimes with all the complaining.

Mine works, just not hard!

Out of the way gun shops are the best when you can find gems like this ;)

California has no blade length limits on folding knives though.

Generally no limits to blade length for CA state law for concealed carry folders but there are exceptions. For instance, 2.5" at schools and 4" in public buildings. Even those can be superseded by local authorities: Los Angeles, San Francisco and Oakland have a limit of 3" blade length for folders.

By the way, the Kershaw SpeedSafe AO is legal in CA.

If people were not so passionate about their Kershaw & ZT knives there'd be less complaints. It's a double-edged blade. :)

You two crack me up, but that's why I keep coming back to BF.
Some really great people here.

If I find any of these BNIB I'll let you know. I haven't tried hitting the local gun shops yet.

I know I'll take a beating for this, but that looks like it was patterned after all those cheap futuristic Chinese knives that were popular in the early 2000's.

If you are familiar with the Hawks designs, you will see thats not even close to the case! So yeah, theres your berating! :beaten:

I want a MUDD - but have not found a deal I could go for - but I will keep looking.

If mine was carried it must have been very few times. It was listed as used so must be.I paid a little more than anyone else at that auction site lol
