Zero Tolerance 0560 and the 0562cf

I held the 0562cf yesterday and am an owner of two 0560s, a satin and a blackwash.

My impression is (and I tend to prefer larger blades, 4" is my preferred size) that it is light, flicks open sweetly and the M390 was not the fingerprint magnet I was afraid it would be.

I'd like to have one, but have too many knives so close to it that for once, I didn't pull the trigger on a knife I merely kinda wanted. I did not NEED it. But I'm up to 70 knives, most in this genre.

If I did not have so many knives similar to this, I would have jumped on it. The choice between the two? Boy, that's close. The 0560 appears "beefier," but that is not to say the 0562 cannot handle everything the 0560 series can.

My thought is the 0562 series fills the gap between the 0550/0566 knives and the 0560 series. Plain and simple, and the pictures above pretty much prove that. If you were to add in a 0550 and/or a 0566, they would be a little smaller than the 0562 model.

I'd say if you got the 0562cf you would not be disappointed at all.

Plus, it's a new knife, which is always a wonderful feeling!

I think you just made my point. You feel the 0560 is their flagship model. I think ZT still feels like the 030x is the flagship. Its the most expensive, its in most of their marketing material and it's 'the Gibbs knife'.
Now that I think of it your pry right. 300 series was or is there flagship model. Is what made them who they are most likely. I'm not sure I haven't been into knives as long as y'all. Everyone suggested 560 when I wanted to buy one... No one suggested 300 series. But I'd say equal amount have both. Seems like everyone has 560

300 series been around for so long.. Guess I just figure companies try to make a new flagship every so often. And maybe that's what 500s were ment to be

Nah. The benchmade 710 is still the flagship model because it was the first axis lock knife. Most people agree that the 940 is the best knife they make but its not the flagship.

Well I got my 562CF yesterday and wow! I have to say I'm impressed. I had been on the fence about selling my XM18, keyword "had". My only gripe is the texture of the G-10 is more my speed, rather than the CF. Someone has to be making custom G-10 grips in the near future...

Can anyone tell me if you can use the blade stops just like thumb studs without the flipper getting in the way?.

It's difficult to use the blade stops as a thumb stud but it can be done. It was designed to just be a blade stop though...

I know they are just meant to be blade stops but if I do decide to get one I will probably use them more than the flipper itself :)

Hopefully BladeHQ will get the 562CF in soon.

My opinion is that it is best to own all of the ZTs mentioned previously in this thread and use them as you see fit. I honestly have space for all ZT models in my collection.

Yeah gang what's up with Blade HQ? It's hard to see people getting these things in the mail and know that I was on the mailing order list very early.....
