Zero Tolerance 0566 vs 0566CF stonewash comparison

So I've finally decided to start seriously looking into my first non-budget priced edc knife, and I think the 0566 is my pick at around $145. Since this is the first relatively big ticket knife I'm set on getting, I want to make sure I get what I really want. From what I've seen, the knife is identical in both the carbon fiber and G10 models, aside from the the obvious scale material. Something that sticks out to me is that in photos on every website selling the knife, the stonewash finish looks more aggressive on the carbon fiber model. What I'm curious about is if this is just from difference in the photographs or if the finish is actually more pronounced on the CF. None of the youtube reviews I've watched have pointed it out when comparing the models, and I can't seem to find a photo the 2 side by side, and going off of 2 separate photos allows the variable of different light effects on each one. The difference between the models is only about $25 so I wouldn't really mind spending that for the more aggressive finish, but if it's the same, I'm not going to bother just for the CF material itself and I'll just go with G10. I'd like to know if anyone has ever seen or held both of them in person, and has seen a noticeable a difference in the finish. Sorry for being a stickler, I just like to know what I'm getting, especially since this is out of my usual price range.

Hey, it's your money, be as much a stickler as you want. ;)

But ... have you EDC'ed a CF knife?

Personally, I find CF a bit too slick. For an EDC, the ergos outweigh the appearance. What does the finish matter if you don't feel comfortable holding it?

Same exact knife, with a different scale- no difference in stonewash.
M2C, get the G10 unless you have an all consuming love for CF.
Whatever you get, enjoy, it is a great knife to edc.

Honestly I'm planning on attempting to make my own G10 scale for it at some point anyway with a different color and pattern than the G10 version. I'm picky about aesthetics with everything I own, and I like to modify stuff to my liking if I see something that could be better. A more aggressive stonewash is one of those things I would prefer to have to have my ideal knife. I do see where you're coming from though.

Thanks for the info, I figured it was the same but if I had the option, I would go with the rougher looks finish. I guess I'll just go with the G10
