Zero Tolerance 0620CF vs 0562CF Photos

Excellent photos. That knife just knocked the 0562 out of my favorite ZT of 2014.

Thanks!! Wait till you play with them to make any decisions. I have a bunch of ZT's and the 0562 became a hands-down favorite from the moment I flipped one open for the first time and held it in my hand...action, ergonomics, and everything else are superb. The ZT0620 is probably the best looking of the bunch, though...just a bit disappointed with the stiff action (was expecting it to fly open like an 0200). <--- Don't put too much stock in that. This is just a case of a bastard detent...it'll break in, it's just tougher than any of my others.

Have you loosened the pivot and given it some oil? Every knife I've owned becomes smoother after a few weeks. I really dislike the KVT or any ball bearing system so I'm glad they didn't use it.

Oh yeah -- pivot is loose enough to turn by hand, and there's plenty of oil in there now. It is, by far, the stiffest opening ZT I've ever owned. I can take it or leave it with the bearing systems, so long as the knife opens easily. I love the action on the ZT0200, but this is not the same thing at all.

My 0620CF is incredibly smooth, and has been since I took it out of the box. It feels nearly as smooth and fast opening as my 0801, which really should not be a fair comparison.

Hmm... that's really disappointing. Is the lockbar tension really strong or something?

If you hold the knife so that the blade is pointing straight up in the air when opened, can you flick the blade out with only your thumb, no wrist action?

Mine won't do that...if yours will, mine might be going to Kai for a once-over

Edit: I didn't remember that correctly. Mine would do that (above) after that I loosened it and oiled it, but it still doesn't lock open every time.

Actually - after I posted that it wasn't the lock bar or detent, I got home and started looking it over. I think the detent is a little too strong. Once it gets past the detent it's not nearly as tight.

Great collection and thanks for showing the comparison pics knifehoarder. I threw a 0620 in the cart earlier today, then decided against it.

Now that I figured out it's just the detent on mine, I have no doubt it'll break in. If you like the knife, go for it. I bet the 0620 looks sexy in person with the DLC blade and black G10. If I were only buying one, I'd buy the 0562...but no regrets on the 0620. It's one of the best looking ZT's I've ever seen and I'm no longer worried about the action.

No doubt it's a great knife and I'd enjoy it, just soo many good knives out there right now. I have a few customs in queue so I decided against it. If I'm able, the 0392 will probably be my next ZT.

Very nice pics! I love the look of your all black/CF 0560 though I'd probably never buy one. I've got the regular 0560 and it's just a bit too big for me to carry comfortably so I've never used it. My 0566 has been my main EDC since last Nov and I'm looking forward to buying a 0562 once funds free up. I'm looking to upgrade my camera body and lenses so looks like the 0562 is a ways away.

Just got the 620CF today. My first with the Emerson wave, so I'm not sure what to make of it. I'd say a bearing pivot system like the one in the 0562 would be the main thing I would change. Right now, even after loosening the pivot nut, I would compare the action to the 0700...not nearly as easy to open as the 0200.

And my latest customized 0560 just for fun. The 560 is quite a bit larger than the 620 and the 562...not sure how easy it is to see that in the photo.

Excuse the lint...I vacuumed the photo tent out, but you see everything with the flashes.

Too many flippers at once. I'm flippin out!!!

Looks fantastic. I'm going to bite the bullet on the black one. It reminds me of the HD7 except it doesn't cost $400 :)

I here ya man. I'm glad EKI postponed the release. This knife is perfect, I've tried to find something wrong. Got the CF on the way. LOL

Thanks again for the compliments on the pics, guys...I have all the photo equipment/studio for my work, so it's nice to be able to get other uses out of all that stuff.

Looks badass....and now you're making me jealous. I'm a big fan of the DLC blades, and Elmax too.
