It looks alright. But I would def have preferred the original 801 without the stonewashed finish. I still like the design and the CF very much.

Nice video, thanks for taking the time to post it. The knife definitely needs a stone washed clip. I couldn't help but laugh when you said you wouldn't be "flipping" the knife. I know you meant reselling but I immediately thought, but it's a flipper design, how can you not flip it? Lol
 
The price is a bit much for me considering I just bought a ZT 0770CF. Scoop them up folks and enjoy!
 
A am confident that this is not the last time we will see brownwashed knives from Kai if these are in fact the reborn blems.It's brilliant idea in my opinion if the rumor ends up becoming the the truth.I am always observing people acid washing,stone washing,and modifying knives.I am sure a stonewashed clip would be an easy project for some that have the means and skills to do the mod.We may see some more bW,BRW, and who knows what going forward an other models.A new direction and another option is a good thing for those who desire the looks of this type of finishing.Myself I prefer the looks of the 0801CF.I consider my standard 0801 the knife equivalent to an Airstream travel trailer you would see while driving down the road.I had to strip the clip and polish it to a mirror finish to obtain the Airstream look it lacked in my eyes with the standard black clip.The BRWCF LE looks very industrial to me and some people may desire this look on their knives.The ZT options keep expanding and the future releases may have some unique finishes down the line.I don't ever recall seeing any 0801 blems on the market.I think the 0801BRWCF is a neat release, just not my cup of tea.I had one in my cart and passed...

I like the kind of "nuked" look on this one, and I agree with austonh's video review that it should be a little easier to just throw in a pocket with some car keys and not worry about too much. Also, as clean as the regular 801CF (haha, now even an awesome LE like the 801CF is just "regular") looks, I think sticktodrum mentioned that it can be a bit of a fingerprint/smudge magnet. Doesn't look like that'll be too much of a problem here.

Even if this is the more limited one, I think I'd have an easier time carrying it around and not worrying about babying it too much.
 
I think I may be the only one who prefers the original 0801 to these carbon fiber designs. I think these new variants all look great, don't get me wrong. There is just something about the original titanium scales that speaks to me. Even more so, thanks to my Maprik-customized model. This is literally the perfect knife, to me.
 
agree, this is a classier knife with inlays and a polished finish. and not suited for "brown wash". I like the regular 801CF much better.

Mine just came in. First ZT I've ever owned - and I have to say, I'm impressed! Cool serial, too - I usually go for primes given the choice but palindromes are neat as well!

(I'm a lefty and usually carry with a LH clip but the front side looks too darn cool to put a clip on this time... so I just took it off entirely. We'll see how clipless carry goes.)
