Zero Tolerance 301 No Framelock Disk?!!

No way of knowing for sure, but my best guess would be sometime next year. Who knows, though? It's been ZT's flagship knife for a while, and with all the new designs and innovations they are coming out with, I'm sure they have to make room for a lot of cool new stuff. As a brand, they are really pushing the envelope and hitting some major homeruns lately.

In the short term, it looks like most of ZT's product line will be concentrated around 3.25"-3.5" blade lengths (the exception being the 0560/0561):

  • 0350
  • 0566
  • 0770CF
  • 0801
  • 0562, 0562CF
  • 0620, 0620CF

0550 will have a tough time competing with 0801, 0562 and 0620 all with blade lengths of 3.5".

The LBS vs the steel puck...It's a wash for us. The 0300 series doesn't have a long life ahead of it, so it's kind of a moot point.

I don't know if you can look at it that way. Its not like they only removed the LBS and said "oh look we upgraded it". They just replaced it with a different method, the steel lockbar insert. In all reality you didn't lose a feature but traded it for a percieved better one that does the same thing while also potentially cutting down on lock stickiness and such.

You guys are right. Wasn't thinking straight. Basically traded one for the other. Got it.

That is sad to read. I best buy a few more then before they potentially dry up. I really love this folder.

Ill need to get myself a 0301 soon Ive wanted one since I started collecting just seems something always comes up like a deal or newer model. I have 16 ZTs now and really cant believe a 0300 series isnt one of them.....smh
