Zero Tolerance 561 Hard use and Abuse testing

On a daily basis I use my ZT0551 with ELMAX blade to cut, wood, nylon rope/string, cardboard, drywall, carpet (horribly abusive to the edge), visqueen plastic, plastic strapping, Pry off base trim, scrape paint, strip wire, and about any other cutting activity you could think of. After 2 years of cutting stuff with a elmax blade I decided it was such a good steel I ordered a custom knife with it. ZT/kershaw does a good job on the heat treat of this steel and the performance is a amazing balance of edge holding and ease of sharpening. Which at one time was something knife users wanted in a steel.

Nicely done, everything looks normal for what the knife went through and comparative to what I have experienced. Sometimes I think those new to "super steels" get the idea the edge should never take damage, which in reality is only a fantasy.
