Zero Tolerance Current/Upcoming/Discontinued Models

I like that they sort of “inset” the flipper tab. But I can’t get on board with that clip and the black overlay just kinda cheapens the knife in my opinion.

Hey guys, I wasn’t sure where to post this but I just got in my 0393 today and I am not sure if I should send it back or if this is normal. I’m not a huge knife guy so I wanted to ask.

The action is very stiff and gritty. It feels like there is sand in the pivot. I thought maybe the pivot was over tightened so I loosened it 1/4 turn and it caused the blade to rub the titanium on the presentation side. So I re tightened it and lubed it with some nano oil. It’s still the same. It doesn’t come close to falling free like my 0562 does.

I just know that a $240 knife should not feel like this. The flipping action is horrible. The blade is centered at the tip but the Middle of the blade almost rubs the presentation side of the frame and is off centered which you can see in the picture. I saw some reviews on YouTube and there’s were flipping fantastic. It’s almost like the blade is crooked but centered at the tip.

I don’t want to cause any issues I just don’t know what to do.

So glad I preordered an 0393 from BHQ , Ive counted now like 5 or 6 resellers to recieve stock I think.

ZT 0462 is in stock at some dealers for $240.00 shipped. 3.7” 20CV Blade, CF, titanium frame lock, KVT bearings flipper, titanium clip and weighing just 3.88 ounces.

Here's hoping the 0462 doesn't arrive this month here , my budget is already more than maxxed out. If it does I'll have to see if I can ask my dealer to set one aside for me, I'm sure he does it, but still, considering the 0393 was expected early April initially...*throws hands up*

These are production folders, which I am sure will still be available one year from now, well, unless you want to be among the first to buy them.

True, I've been thinking that too, but since my dealer is pretty small so restock would be a while out (if at all) it is a small market and he has some of the fairest pricing.

Okay Im adding the 0393 to my list of must haves for this year. It looks like it might be THE knife for me. I liked the looks of it before but thought it was going to be a limited run. Now that I know they are going to keep making them Im pretty dang sure Im at least going to hunt down a used one this year. I think its worth the $240 for the materials used but I get one its going to be used like my $30 RAT 1 so it being used will make that a little easier :)

Sir you need to send that one back no doubt . It’s rare I mean very rare but there are exceptions that ZT will have a lemon . My 0393 just arrived and it’s centered , Blade free falls and smooth as silk action . Sounds like you might have a bad bearing in there or a lot of grit .

Well my ZT 0393 just arrived and it might be my all time favorite knife and definitely my favorite ZT .
It has wowed me from the action to feel in hand . This blade is drop dead gorgeous to !!
Bravo ZT you knocked this one out of park into another City !!
Simply amazing that this knife rivals some customs I’ve had for 1000 dollars plus !
Now I know what all the hype is about and can’t wait to personalize it with some Hinderer accessories
Anyone know if the clip and plug plate is the same as all hinderers?
Anyway here she is fresh out of the box.

Yeah the clips are interchangeable and so are the filler tabs. I ended up (for now) just blasting the clip and tab and added a stainless 3.5" hinderer pivot screw. It adds a bit contrast and fits with the satin blade and thumbstud a bit better (in my opinion), I thought about doing blue hardware like @Frunkey did, but it went the cheaper route. The Tab and Clip are matte Ti gray after a media blasting which works visually. I will see about posting a picture of it.

Thanks for the reply !
I ended up doing the frunkey clip but waiting on the pivot screw and filler tab . Almost went with the flames but was afraid it would be to much bling going on.
I ordered from DLT this morning
I like your idea and route you went to
