I have to agree. Good grief ZT, just another cash-grab.

I guess good on them for doing 20CV as opposed to S35VN like the 0609BLUBLK?

I absolutely cannot stand grey-DLC coated blades though. Makes my skin crawl for some reason. Flat black DLC is one thing, but that Kershaw semi-gloss grey color coat is another level of horrid.
 
I loved the polished DLC that kershaw used on the ripcord. Would have loved to seen that on the 0804cf

ZT 0850CF Sprint Run like the 0850 except for Black DLC hardware and on the blade flats for a $340.00 street price. You can find the discontinued 0850 for $229.00 these days which is a steal.

These Sprint Runs are actually priced much lower. We have them at $285!
 
Interesting. We’ll see how fast the 0850 CF sells.

Back when the original dropped there was lots of “If only____, I’d buy one” discussion.

I’m an 0850 fan, fwiw. I agree the original is a steal at $230 and the sprint at $285 is a deal too. It’s a great knife.

I still don't particularly like the backspacer and thumb...cylinder on the 0850, but the blacked out frame looks really good. So if one of those should come to our shores I think I will cave and get one.
 
I'm also crossing my fingers that ZT and Les George decide to give the Xcom a premium version. Maybe like 3.75in - 4in satin blade in their now usual 20CV, green or brown micarta scales (or some decent G10) and pb washers.

The original 0850 didn't sell well. I hope this one will do, although I am not buying it.
