Zero Tolerance Current/Upcoming/Discontinued Models

Wow, so they're making a regular production model of the 0095AN (Snap- On LE). Kind of glad I backed out on mine. Too much for a knife I'd never use and proving not easy to sell, thus far. Liked the overall design, though. May have to look into a 0095.

Oh, it's a LE also. Well then, probably won't be in on that.

I believe the ZT 0095 is Zero Tolerance's first in-house design since ZT 0777/0770? It's been quite a while.

I am quite curious about this model (the 0095) as well and am looking forward to seeing the price it will go for.

There's also 0888, 0102, and of course this year's 0999.

And don't forget they have the Kershaw side of the shop too that also has a number of recent in-house designs, like the Ruby, Link, Launch series, Camber, Starter series, Shuffle series, and several others.

"The Zero Tolernace 0999 was selected as the 2015 American Made Knife Of The Year at the annual Blade Show in Atlanta, Georgia. Blade Show awards represent the pinnacle of knife-industry awards. The winners are selected by an overwhelming vote of industry members, including representatives from ZT’s competitors. Winners are judged on a range of criteria—from design, innovation, and function to craftsmanship and quality.

Blade Show entrires like this enable us to challenge ourselves to experiment and achieve new levels in production knifemaking. Challenging assumptions with the new 0999 has resulted in a high-performance knife with a remarkably open and airy look—and some very unique features:

  • Proprietary Composite Blade—CTS-204p on the cutting edge, CPM D2 & carbon fiber upper
  • Carbon-fiber blade insert—almost seems to float in the blade cutout
  • Titanium clip—milled from solid titanium
  • KVT ball-bearing opening—for smooth, one-handed opening
  • Flipper cutout—flipper “flies through” the knife bridge; bridge doubles as a blade stop
  • Pivot cutout—shows off the polished washer
  • One-piece titanium frame lock & backspacer—milled from a half-inch thick billet of titanium
  • Logo reveal—closed, you see the composite blade logo and usa mark; open the knife and the zt and kai logos are revealed
  • Carbon-fiber handle with titanium overlay—contoured two-piece construction provides a comfortable grip

This Limited Edition knife will be available in 2016."

Kind of hoping there will be at least 999 pieces of this beauty made.;)

I held the 0999 and I kinda thought it was too fiddley and space-age. Like, why the piece of carbon fiber just set haphazardly into the blade? It looked like something that would pop out the first time you put it into your pocket. Truly an art deco knife.

Of those 4 new knives the only one that interest me is the 0095. Looks like a nice solid knife. The 0999 and 0606 would look more comfortable on an episode of star trek than in my pocket. I don't mind the 0392 but I don't like the execution of the WC blade. Should have used a modified WC and all blackwashed, stone washed or acid stonewashed. Also ZT in general is getting to pricey, but what the hell do I know.

Mike

I'm quoting this because I 100% agree with this. I'm sorry but the 0999 looks kind of ridiculous in my opinion. The CF insert on the blade looks totally out of place. Maybe I lack the imagination or whatever, but it looks like an afterthought to me. Just my opinion though. It's all very subjective. That 0095 however, that's the kind of ZT that draws my eye.

I haven't seen it in person, but that was kind of my thought. It's a very cool looking knife, as all ZT's recent releases have been, but is it made to be used? I would say no. I wonder the same about a few of their more recent releases.

Speaking of the ZT 0888, it really bothers me that most ZT LE knives have a cheaper variation, except ZT 0888.

ZT 0777 > ZT 0770
ZT 0600 > Kershaw Chill
ZT 0392 > Kershaw Shield
ZT 0454 > ZT 0452, ZT 0450, Kershaw Nura

Even the regular production knives have a different price variation.

ZT 0300 > ZT 0350
ZT 0801cf, ZT 0801s110v > ZT 0801
ZT 0560, 0550 > ZT 0566, Kershaw Cryo

I need a regular production ZT 0888 that I can buy!!!

The 0999 looks like a Gerber Ripstop. Gross.

The 095 looks very nice though, and the Wharncliffe one is nice although I HATE the "bump" on the top of the blade.

Thanks, knife buddy! Now I need one of these. Also, too, 0392WC.
