If they wanted to do anything different from KVT then they should have gone automatic. An upgraded derivative of any of the Launch models: 20CV blade, Ti instead of aluminum handles.

Thing is, if people want to try out a ZT at a non ZT price, the Kershaw Bareknuckle fills that role. And isn't assisted. Just my opinion.

As for it being a smaller, assisted 0095...i agree it looks very close. The 0095 is an excellent knife, with lots of blade, thin stock, and thin behind the edge (for a ZT). Too bad they discontinued it, glad I nabbed one at closeout price.

I'm sure they are fine knives, but I have no desire for the 308 or 357.

I have no issues with speedsafe as i dont live in a nanny state and only carry autos all the time. I think its priced right (protech tr3 is same pricepoint) 20cv and 3.25 is perfect for a EDC beater

Should have just redone the 0566 with bearings and milled titanium and called it a day. If ever a knife needed the upgrade treatment it was the 0566.

still would be too heavy

G10 is strong as hell and lighter 20cv blade is pretty much top of the line (especially in this price bracket)
and 1.50oz lighter

does everything the 0566 does but better packaged and a better blade shape (imo)

if i want to carry a hinderer i will carry my 0562blk in 20cv
honestly i dont carry many heavy knives anymore
I live in florida and wear cargo shorts year round so its either under 5oz or auto

I feel like there are so many retired successes that could be brought back/or updated. Was not the 0393 a 0392 that did exactly that? Do that again with 0550 or 0606.

I like the looks of the knife but unless I can remove the speedsafe I won't be getting one.

It's basically the same specs as the 20CV Link they just came out with, just with G10 handles instead. They laser marked "ZT" on there and added $70 to the price tag. And people say Benchmade's "Butterfly Tax" is high.
