Knifelaws here in Denmark are soon to be changed, so that knives with thumb studs and flipper are going to be legal.:)

Yes, you heard it! Politicians unbanning previously banned knives.

So, I have my sights set on a Zero Tolerance Hinderer. Preferably the 560 something.

Would you be content with that knife, or is there something out there which is better for the buck?

I like the 560 series a lot, the 561 is a big knife though it carries very well. The 566 is a bit smaller and carries very well just depends on what you want. I carry and use the 561 every day. Fit and finish are excellent on every one that i've had.

I have a ZT 0560 and a 0562CF.

I love my 0562CF. It flips really nice and the blade shape/size are spot on for me. I definitely recommend it.

I don't like the 0560 that much. The blade is too large for me and there is some very aggressive jimping on the top of the handle just where your finger rests after flipping that makes it very uncomfortable. I ended up smoothing the jimping with sand paper and now its tolerable.

These knives are very well finished and doubt you can find similar quality alternatives at their price.

Of the few ZT's that I have tried, the 562 had the smoothest action and felt the most comfortable in hand.

I have a 450, 452 and a 562. You simply can't go wrong with either one!
All are super smooth and flip beautifully! Gorgeous blade shapes and extremely comfortable in hand!
I can't say enough good about them!

I've only recently started to collect knives so I can't comment to much on what else I out there but I've always liked easy opening fast flipper style knives. That being said I only have two quality knives and one is a Benchmade and the other is a ZT0562cf. They are both good but the ZT is now my new favorite and in my opinion worth every penny, it is just a solid, fast, easy to open and the perfect size for me. I was a little worried it might be to big at first but after carrying it a few days it really grew on me. I've always liked the Griptilian style but could never decide if I wanted the regular size or the mini but now the full size Griptilian 551-1 g10 in CPM 20cv steel will be my next acquisition. The steel is similar to the cts 204 on my ZT and it some awesome stuff.

Congratulations on the law change!!

I agree with the above- the ZT0562 is a great choice, and comes in the CF dress version and the g10 regular version for a little less cost.

You can find the ZT0392, which is currently only available on the secondary market in one of three versions, the original in Ti with blue hardware, the blkbrz blackwash and bronze ano hardware, and the most recent the brngld - brown dlc with gold ano hardware.

Knivesshipfree has a very nice ZT0770CFM4 - I have one and it is very nice - but smaller.

You have a lot of great options to research!

Good luck and best regards

Do I think there's something better for the buck? Yeah, I think the Spyderco knives in S110 and the Cold Steel Ultimate Hunter will perform as well or slightly better than the ZTs for quite a bit less money. That said, you aren't going to go wrong getting a ZT. They're very, very nice knives, but they are a bit spendier than some competitive options. If they're what you dig, though, don't hesitate.

Thank you very much for your input!

Makes me confident in my choice of folder. Gonna start looking for a 562 once the new law passes.

It is gonna be SO nice finally to be able to acquire a great folder!

Very nice. Congrats on the knife laws slowly moving out of the 19th century. We all know that being able to effectively open a folding knife makes it sooo much more dangerous and more likely to assault than a fixed blade. You know, like the kind everyone uses in the kitchens around the world. :D

Here are a couple of flippers to consider. The most carried is the 562CF, second down on the right. Enjoy! Start with one, then another, then another. [emoji41]

Same here. I think the 0560 is a great knife. I have the original one I bought when they first came out in the US. While many were scrambling paying upwards of $400 for them from Canadian flippers, I waited patiently and scored one when my time had come. It has served me very well over the last 3 years or so, can't remember exactly when it came out.
