Generally don't do these types of threads but I'm stumped. Looking for a new tactical to compliment the stockman I carry every day and I have narrowed it down to the Spydie Para military and the ZT 0350. Very different knives I know but I like a premium steel, G10, and the ergonomics of both seem good any advice, comments, thoughts on carry of each would be appreciated. Should add that the AO feature makes no difference to my decision, I can take it or leave it.

I have both of these knives and they're both awesome, but real different. The Paramilitary is significantly lighter than the 350. If you like carrying a lighter blade, it would suit you a little better. The 350 is also an assisted opener, which some people don't like very much.

I really like the Paramilitary's dimensions. It has a slighter larger handle to blade ratio than a lot of knives. Some people don't like the looks of that, but I feel like it gives me better control of the blade. The paramilitary is real pointy at the tip. The action on the paramilitary is super smooth and I like the compression lock (once you get used to it).

I love the ZT line of knives. I own 3 of them now. The 350 in particular is a cool little knife and feels so nice in the hand. When looking at pictures and videos online, the knife did not look like it would feel good in the hand (probably b/c the scales look too flat). Something about it when it's in your hand just feels right though. Opens fast and freaks people out.

It's a tough decision b/w the two. I wouldn't get rid of either one of mine, but knowing what I know now I'd probably go w/ the 350 myself.

Jason at 2 Brothers is recommending both of these lines to me right now. I suffer over the choices........ I love this stuff.

Here's a picture (stolen, of course!) from Phillip Dobson. He's putting a set of thick G-10 slabs on a 0350. I think they're beautiful now, but his customer wants the texturing like his 0200.

Fattens the grip up quite a bit!

MUST HAVE THAT GRIP! i wonder how much it costs.

I had a ZT for a short while and traded it for something else. That is a tank. I don't honestly know much about the other one.

Paramilitary. Lighter, better lock, I prefer the blade shape.

If you had asked between a Para and a ZT 300 I would have said ZT but I really don't like the 350 very much. It seems like a cheap copy of its bigger brother, thin blade, no Ti slab (granted that would REALLY boost its cost), etc...
The Para is a great little knife and it is nice and light, plus you can snag it in some really great steels. Good luck with you choice, but my money would go Para, or Manix 2.

That's my ZT! after TRYING to make the stock scales a little easier on the pocket I didn't like the way they turned out. Phillip was nice enought to try and make some for me in G-10. So far, from just the pics I am very happy and UBER EXCITED to get my hands back on my ZT.

As far as price, that's for him to tell, but for me,as of now ,it was beyond worth it.

I was going to wait till I got the BB ZT but got a good deal on a Spec Bump instead so I decided to send this 0350 first. Glad I did.

If this comes out like I think it will,I'm going to try to keep Phillip busy:p

He is amazing with wood

I EDC a Para and everytime I think about a new knife, I ask myself "What can that knife do that my Para can't?"

There's still a Para clipped to my pocket. Great knife.

personally this choice is going to be up to you. as u can see both knives are really good quality. i like the zt better. the para is lighter and if u like a really light knife go for that. i like a little more weight to my knives. and the linear on the zt is a beast of a linear. AO 4tw.

but i might be a little bias because i don't like the look of spiders.

if u can go feel them both out
