Zero Tolerance or Spyderco?

I have to ask what you mean by "deserves"? Not trying to start anything, but is there something Kershaw has done that we should know about?
Kershaw is a great company. It's the Strider side of the collaboration that I'm not a fan of.

I also don't care for recurves, flippers or AO, so those are about as far from my style as it gets.

Trying a new dealer, ordered a Tenacious, if the transaction goes well will order the Para military as soon as the tenacious arrives. Thanks to all, Spyderco's customer service and initial quality won out in the end. Very grateful for everyone's input, I carefully considered all posts and the Para seems to suit my needs best. Thanks again.

So, it's a liner lock or it's not a liner lock?:
"the Paramilitary doesn't have a liner lock"
"The liner may be thinner"
What engages the tang of the knife?

A liner lock resists stress in an entirely different way than a compression lock does.
The compression lock takes more force to fail, as you must COMPRESS the metal(which is harder than flexing metal or causing slippage).
Think of the way the forces are resisted when comparing different lock styles.
