Hello Kershaw guys. I am new to your brand
Hi Pete, welcome to the brand.
Just recently I purchased two of the ZT line, the 301 and 302 (couldn't decide which looked better!)...The 301 seems like an outstanding design with may great features but I am wondering if they are limited production knives or can I expect more in the future, perhaps without tiger stripes, etc. etc.? I know TADGear and USN have blades without the stripes and was wondering if they would become regular production items.
Congrats on your pick up, how do you like your ZT's to date?
A little background on the 300 series, they were a design collaboration with Ken Onion and Strider knives. Of course Strider is known for their flame broiled blades, so it was a natural blade finish we went with.
TAD had requests for bead blast and black DLC coatings, thus the variations. To date, we have no plans to adopt these finishes as regular production.
The ZT line in general is barely a year old, and production is limited, as we are still establishing our dealer base as well as the brand itself. Also there is not a distributor or wholesale program, so you won't see deep discounting or high volume.
3-D machining titanium and G-10 is pretty unusual for production, as is using 3V (0100 fixed blade), but we are trying to establish a level of quality that meets the needs of those Military, LE, and Public Safety folks that lay it on the line daily.
For those that have gotten their hands on the product, as you have seen, the reviews have been more than satisfying.
We have also partnered with the PVA (Paralyzed Veterans Association) and proceeds from ZT are donated to this incredible organization.

So all in all, we feel very good about the first year Zero Tolerance, and feel our best is yet ahead of us.
is there new ZT blades coming out anytime soon?
There is the JB2, the Hawk's M.U.D.D. folder, a Galyean boot knife, and a small Strider fixed blade all slated for this summer.
