So I ordered a Sierra Stove from Zip Stove (http://www.zzstove.com/). I then received an email saying...

"Hello Christopher,
Thank you for your order. The order form pulled from our website only contains a partial shipping address. Could you please let me know your city, state and zip code?
Regards,
.........(l left out the name)
ZZ Manufacturing"

BUT the address from this email is different from the one on their website and the order confirmation email. It is true that on the order confirmation email it is missing that information next to the mailing address. I tried calling and it seems it is disconnected.

I was wondering if I should respond to this email becuase it looks kind of suspicious.

Let's analyse this. You ordered a zip stove. Then you received an email asking your city, state and zip code. So, um, you're afraid some untrustworthy person might have found about your order somehow but somehow not have found out your city, state and zip code, so he sent you that email in hopes of fooling you into giving him that information, and if an untrustworthy person were to find out the city, state and zip code of a person who would order a zip stove he could use that information to ... um ...

From their website, call them on their toll-free telephone number 800/594-9046 or drop a dime and call the regular number 626/852-9690.

Do I have to think of everything around here????

ummmmmmmm, assuming he got my other info such as debit card number he could use it for online purchases...if he knew the address. And i already called the phone numbers on the website, they are disconnected. Yeah, please read the entire post before posting a smart remark about you having to think about everything.

they also give their address as a PO box.

Both numbers work but go to voice mail. I'd say screw them, buy from some where else and put a fraud alert on your card.

My guess is that the order form just got screwed up. Stranger things have happened. Why not just send your information to the email address on the website?

Yeah, please read the entire post before posting a smart remark about you having to think about everything.

Pardon Gollnick, he tries to read the forums and play with his balis at the same time, and becomes distracted by the shiny spinnyness.

Gollnick's post should have been titled "when an idiot talks."

A little good humored poke is all in good taste, but Gollnick is a moderator and a long time member of these forums. He simply overlooked the phone comment. Please refrain from name calling, especially to a mod who's been here over 8 years.
