I'm not familiar with Zoe Crist but I saw his Saluda semi-production knife on DLT and it looks like the knife I'd design for myself if I could. It's also in 1095 which is a steel I love.

What can anyone tell me about Zoe and his 1095? Not much on the internet about this semi-production run, but his design looks like functional art to me. I'm gonna order a Saluda tomorrow, but I'm just curious if anyone has one and can comment about their experiences with on of his knives (particularly the Saluda)? Thanks.

I met him in his shop once and he gave me a tour and showed me how he forges his damascus and makes handles and stuff. He is a nice guy. I did buy one small fixed blade from him. Don't know about that model called Saluda though.
Best of luck.

I haven't used one of these knives but I can tell you that Zoe is one heck of a nice guy. We're fortunate to be able to work with him and carry his knives. He's a hard working family man. Anyone who has met him can tell.

If there is anything else, aside from a users view, I can answer for you feel free to send me a message.

Sorry to resurrect a moribund thread, but I just ordered a Crist Saluda from KSS -- Derrick is renting a 20% off code on three of the Zoe Crist production models. It will still be the most $$ fixed-blade I've ever bought. I'll post photos when it arrives! In the meantime, here is the photo from the website:
