ive been thinking recently and im going to get the Acheron, Tanto Folder, and the War Sword from Ka-Bar's zombie killer Series and im going to have Custom handles made for them but i wanted to hear other peoples ideas i want to stick with the Zombie Apocalypse theme so what do you guys think i should do designs and pictures would be awesome :D

I just got the folder the other day. I'm happy with the green, but some other neon colors would certainly be welcome. Neon blue or red would be tops.

The first time I saw the knife (from someone's photo on here the other day), I immediately thought, "Please tell me this sucker glows in the dark!". That's a huge missed opportunity if you ask me. Glowing scales would be a riot, and I'd pick up several just because.

You could keep the stock handles (on the folder at least) and drill some shallow holes. Maybe an end mill bit chucked in a drill since the end is flat and not pointy like a regular bit. If the scales are thin then you could get a decent hole without worrying about breaking through other side. Buy some good glow powder and mix it into some 30 min epoxy and fill the holes. Only problem is the rough surface may make it hard to finish since you can't lightly sand it.

Another thought is to take the handles off and mix some black RIT dye and soak just the ends to make them black and the rest the stock color. And then add the glow powder. You would just have to be really careful about putting them in the dye so you get a nice line. You could probably use some crisco or vaseline with a brush to cover areas you don't want dyed. Maybe if you coated the handle with the grease so it gets down between the bumps and then take a rag and wipe the grease off the tips of the bumps, the tips of bumps would be black while the valleys would be neon green.

On the neck knife maybe get some glow in the dark paracord and wrap the handle with it and maybe even use another color like neon green.

These are just ideas I'm tossing out. You risk possibly goofing up the handles and would need to get it right the first time. Maybe mix the RIT dye and put a drop on back side of scale to see how well the dye takes hold. Many people use RIT dye to dye FRN and G10 so I would imagine it would work.

Let us know how it all turns out when you figure out what you want to do. Good luck.
