zombie lover? (contest)

Oh, by the way, I once saw a short movie which I really enjoyed. It is "I love Sarah Jane". Check it out, it's free to se on the web.

It's a toss up between the Resident Evil movies, 28 Days Later, and 28 Weeks Later. They all have some great zombie dropping action and mandatory gore. The 28 Days/Weeks movies also toss in the urban, more realistic possibility of what could really happen within an large urban enviroment.

With Resident Evil who couldn't love Milla Jovovich with her kukuris kickin a** and taking names?!?! A hot woman with sweet blades, slaying zombies is enough for me!

Ok most interesting...

When I was 14 the movie "Dawn of the Dead" was released.
I had never seen a zombie movie but loved horror films.
I had to go! My older sister liked horror movies but had issues with zombie movies.
Problem was I needed a ride for me and my best friend. Going to the movies with your parents when your a teen is a drag so I conned my sister into going. Being 19 and having your kid brother tag along is apparently as big of a drag as having your parents because her conditions wre that I couldnt sit near her. So she and her best friend (another very timid female) sat several rows down from us.

This was an old theater that still practiced some old customs. They had attendants that would walk the isles with flashlights occasionally. The theater was in rough conditions for the time and several of the "night lights" were burnt out.
Half way through the movie my sister is about to freakout. We have been hearing screams and the occasional "OMG thats gross!" To which being a true teenager and an asshole little brother I started throwing popcorn at the two.

My sister stood and turned to scream at me and suddenly froze, screamed and threw her popcorn and drink in every direction. This was not some girly fit this was TRUE terror! She just stood there shaking screaming a blood curdling scream. Then her friend stands and does the same. Then my sister starts pointing out the door which is just behind me. I turned to look and there is a man standing in the doorway he is slightly green and shambling into the doorway.
Then he raised his hand and turned on his flashlight grinned, laughed and turned and walked out. It turns out the low lighting and the crappy green carpet of the theater just happens to throw this green tint when your standing in just the right place. Something the attendants had been having fun with all week! My friend and I laughed so much they were about to kick us out. Everyone else in the theater was also laughing and the attendants were having some good fun too. My sister still hates the movie and usually punches me in the shoulder any time I mention it.

I love zombie movies and own most of them. They still make me think of this and put a smile on my face, goodtime for sure!

I'd say my favorite is the remake of Dawn of the Dead. Not for any really funny or cool reasons, but I like how they balanced group dynamics with action. You saw how people will revert to their innate personality, ho w people will hold on to impossibly stupid ideas because they just can't cope with the loss (guy with his girlfriend that goes zombie and has the zombie baby, yet he insists it's his family and shoots the other woman for trying to kill his zombie gf and infant). Then there's kudos for having the balls to shoot an undead infant. I like the tough that the gun shop commando and mall ninjas are heroes, with the kicker being that the guy best suited, personality-wise, to lead the group is a TV salesman from Best Buy. I'm also wondering where I can get a mall job that pays enough to pack around a Python.

If it's allowed, Army of Darkness would tie it. Tie, because I like it for the opposite reason of DOTD: The absolute campiness of Bruce Campbell. You have the hero that's nothing but a self-serving asshole. A cheap ass chainsaw that attaches to the end of his sawed off arm, and a cheap side-by-side shotgun. Not to mention our hero is a career shelf stocker at S-Mart, in the Housewares department.
Favorite lines?

"Alright you primitive screwheads, listen up."

"It's a trick. Get an axe."

"Yo! She bitch! Let's go."

"First you want to kill me, now you want to kiss me? Blow."

"Good. Bad. I'm the guy with the gun."

Things that really piss me off are the fact that some of the best scenes WERE CUT from the DVD versions. Such as:
In the beginning, where he gets Arthur on the ground with his sword to his neck and tells him to "Leave it be.", and Arthur has him arrested anyway.

In the windmill, when he pounds on the chimney pipe and gets a facefull of soot.

In the graveyard after getting the Necronomicon, where he goes on a tantrum "I'll crush ya! I'll grind ya into paste!"

WHY cut those scenes? They're like 30 seconds long! WTMF?

As for my non-firearm zombie killer. . .when there can be only one, accept no substitutes!

wow! what's that beauty?

When I was young I saw Return of the Living Dead 3 with a friend which in retrospect has some serious S&M themes going on. Love the flick but what really got my attention was Melinda Clarke running around half naked! HAWT!

That was the very first zombie film I saw. My favourite has to be the original Dawn of the Dead. Great message but I've always had a fantasy of being locked inside a massive department store with every shop open for the taking.
