Sorry if this has been brought up before, but was the 0102 ever produced and up for sale? I check in to the ZT website from time to time and it seems like the 0102 went straight from "coming soon" to "discontinued".

If anyone remembers, it reminds me of the 0780 folder back around 2011 or whenever. It ended up being very limited and very hard to find. I believe somewhere around 300 or less ever made it out the door. I'm happy to have one.
If the 0102 does hit the shelves (more than it currently has) I'd be quick on the draw because I don't think it'll be around too long if it's anything like the 0780.

I disagree - at their MSRP they're already in the ballpark of high-end makers like RMJ Tactical. Any higher than that and they'd be in Winkler territory. At the same time though, there are quite a few good US-made models that are far more affordable.
IMO Vanadis 4 was not an optimal choice of steel - there are plenty of steel choices that offer comparable performance, are readily available and less expensive.

I was just beating my 0180 through some thick wood the other day with a mini-sledgehammer. I then cut some linoleum up off the floor with it. It scraped bare, rough concrete a couple of times. I then pried some large pieces, think 6x2x12, of lumber up enough to get my fingers between the slats. I then split those slats using the split 4x4 I'd just wailed on. The knife took it like a champ. I was really expecting the knife to break smacking it with the hammer. I wasn't going full force but I wasn't really using a feather touch either. The edge held up great but I was really just impressed that the knife didn't break, bend, or show any negative signs except two small dents near the jimping. The knife isn't what I'd really call a sharpened prybar in the normal sense, but I have used it as that and it worked. I can only imagine what a thicker chunk of that steel tempered lower would be like if this freaking knife handles this kind of ridiculous crap.
